My daughter's (age 22) 1st blood test results came back with the above readings. (reason for blood test, tiredness, tingling of limbs, mouth ulcers, bumping into walls) Note on sheet of results stated "low B12 deficiency very likely, treat as necessary, suggest Intrinsic factor antibody test" which

My P.A. Story
Although my P.A. journey started “officially” on 10th May 1972 events from 13 years before may well have been the true beginning. 1st rheumatology apt
Hi everyone I recently joined and posted for first time about 2 weeks ago asking about rheumatoid factor. I have my 1st rheumatology apt come through which is at the end of May. Not too long to wait but long enough when worrying. I'm not even sure it's RA but GP is obviously referring me for a reason

Can rheumatoid factor go down after a flare?
Seem to have a lot of questions going round my head at the moment. Been waiting for a rheumatology appointment for 13 weeks so far which is giving me too much time to think!! Should I push for diagnosis?
Hi all, spoke to my doctor today after being told about low B12 levels (120) over the phone last week. He seems fairly relaxed about things. Apparently intrinsic factor was negative so he says not PA, maybe a fault in the IF (??). No idea what this means. Anyway, loading injections start on Thursday

GP problems
I've recently been diagnosed with pernicious anaemia after a low B12 blood test result, and then also testing positive for anti intrinsic factor antibodies. I was then given 6 loading doses of B12 which finished on the 24th March. I seem to be now having the same symptoms as last time, dizzyness, exhaustion

A rare kind of bird?
I'm very lucky to have been spared RA diagnosis until 70+ years after I first came to the notice of pre-NHS orthopaedics, hence my attempts to stay 'chirpy' in the face of adversity. [Wow, that's almost poetic!] Why choose 'Dodo' for a username? Well, an elderly gentleman dentist chose it for me

Recently diagnosed
I've recently been diagnosed as having B12 deficiency. My level is 144. My red blood cells have become larger too. I've had symptoms for over two years. In that time I've been prescribed citalapram, zopiclone and diazepam for varying symptoms. The fatigued is unlike anything I have ever experienced
