Polyhydramnios
Greetings all I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 30 weeks. I'm now 33 weeks hoping to be induced at 37wks. Unfortunately, I have since the diagnosis been positive to gestational diabetes. I was hoping to go for epidural but with all the horror stories relating to polyhydramnios and baby, will it

I am on tenterhooks for the official result - not because it might not be a PB, but in case they've messed up. Abingdon Parkrun just posted on Facebook that the "Results are putting up a fight this week

Round cancelled
My second round of ovulation induction IUI was cancelled last week. Everything was on track but then my lining suddenly halved in thickness between one scan and the next 3 days later. They also saw fluid on scan. I was told this can happen and that I'd probably have bleeding soon and could start again

Pity post
Hi all, Posting in here as you guys get it. Partner of 12 yrs was in an explosion Feb this yr, sustained severe traumatic brain injury amongst other injuries. The expectation was he wouldn't make it & if he did would be severely disabled. Going through the whole hospital experience, neuro intensive

Improved fitness
I live near the sea, and during one run in Week 1, I decided to try running alongside the beach. To get to the beach, there is a long and very steep path, which took all of the 5 minute warm up to get down. You can't quite see the extent of it from this picture, but that's taken from the top. The problem

Hydroxichloroquin Side effects
Hi You may remember back in July, I mentioned that I was to have test for possible Toxic Retinitis. I saw a Consultant from the Macular department on Friday, where my worst fears were confirmed. I definitely do have Toxic Retinitis as a result of long term use of Hydroxichloroquin. I am still waiting

Hi Ladies, I hope you can shed some light please? I am currently taking Progynova 6mg a night for almost 4 weeks & have my first scan to check my womb lining on Wednesday. However, I have been a little concerned as I have been experiencing an achy pain near my left side of my ovary/stomach. Is this normal

First Post
Hi there. Just an introductory post. My name's Connor, I have FA, and I'm 24. I was diagnosed when I was 9, had spinal fusion surgery at 12/13, I started using a walking frame at 17, and went into a wheelchair at 20. I have a degree in accountancy, I don't work but I've done a bit volunteering. Now a

Finally got my foot looked at....
Think it is a soft tissue injury. I've been prescribed a week course of strong anti inflammatory tablets and being referred for a scan. Advised to rest it for now and see how the pills work so I guess I'll have to do that 😕

Shoulder pain on buserelin
Hi all, I have been on Buserelin for 23 days, and stimming on Menopur for 4 days. For the past week and a half I have had severe shoulder and neck pain radiating to my arm, which is worse overnight when trying to sleep and in the morning. Nothing is really helping. Is this a side effect of buserelin

Couch to 5K after spinal injury
I broke my back and sustained a spinal injury in 2013 and although I managed to learn to walk again, I have nerve damage in both legs. Running wasn't really on the agenda, but in an effort to get fit again I gave Couch to 5K a go and I could do it! It's not pretty, but I have been able to get to week

Incontinence solutions
I've been reading several posts from our community about incontinence, washing bedding everyday, etc. I've posted this before and it may or may not be helpful to you but I'll share our solution. Sandy has a Foley catheter. They may call it something different outside the U.S. This is an indwelling catheter

IBS-D Any suggestions other than Imodium?
Hi there. I have suffered from IBS-D for a few years and manage it as best I can with Imodium. If I am going out for the day or for long periods of time, I take Imodium as preventative measures, just in case I get taken short. Many of these occasions I probably don't need to take Imodium, but psychologically

Coma for a month
Hi readers, my boyfriend has been in ICU for more than a month now due to severe head injury he got from quadbike accident recently in brims. He was put in induced coma for weeks. But was then taken out of induced coma. He had a tracheostomy for weeks. Good thing he is showing little movements of arms
