Polyhydramnios

Greetings all

I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 30 weeks. I'm now 33 weeks hoping to be induced at 37wks. Unfortunately, I have since the diagnosis been positive to gestational diabetes. I was hoping to go for epidural but with all the horror stories relating to polyhydramnios and baby, will it be advisable?

Any real stories please?

Sorry Tilly no experience with ph or gd but wanted to wish you well I'm sure your medical team will take great care of you and your baby and will advise you

re epidurals. Step away from google talk to your dr or midwife. Wishing you all the best.

I had polyhydramnios and had an epidural. They had to break my waters and my husband said there was loads! The baby was fine and the epidural worked and I was very grateful for it.

I too read lots of horror stories on the internet and was worried so I do understand.

Can you speak to your midwife for advice?

Good luck xx
