Shoulder pain on buserelin

Hi all, I have been on Buserelin for 23 days, and stimming on Menopur for 4 days. For the past week and a half I have had severe shoulder and neck pain radiating to my arm, which is worse overnight when trying to sleep and in the morning. Nothing is really helping. Is this a side effect of buserelin ( I read on the leaflet about shoulder stiffness ) and will this get better? It makes me feel like giving up on this cycle I am so unwell, the pain is constant and makes me sick.

Yes I had this, it's a very uncommon side effect. I went for a couple of massages, one with hot stones, which helped a bit. It was like a painful frozen shoulder almost!

I also felt rubbish. I used Tiger Balm on my shoulder and a hot water bottle. You can take paracetamol but I was told to avoid Ibuprofen as it can interfere with your ovulation.

I know how bad you feel but don't give up - it's only a few more days and the pain should clear up xx

Thank you for the reply good to know I am not going mad. I have had two massages and one physio session, we’ll see how it goes. Did it ease up for you after EC? Xxx

You're definitely not going mad. I remember the pain well and was so uncomfortable in bed. It did ease up after egg collection (and stopping buscelerin) xx
