Ramipril & Pulsatile Tinnitus
I want to share my experience with Ramipril for anyone who runs into this as I made it through what was probably the scariest week of my life. I was prescribed Ramipril to slow down heart failure, though my blood pressure isn't too high. I was only taking a low dose of 2.5mg daily. 2-3 weeks in I started

Here We Go Again
Four days ago, I reported that after 4 ‘failed’ ablations, I had undergone a ‘successful’ cardioversion for what my EP said was atrial tachycardia. For four days, I enjoyed normal sinus rhythm and a heart rate of between 50 and 70bpm. However, my joy was short lived. This evening, whilst watching a

Good morning wonderful peole. I had NSTEMI March and on the protocol meds. clopidogrel bisopropol aspirin Lansoprozole isosorbide on morning and ramipril and rosuvastatin evening. I wasn't doing too well as BP was really low so GP reduced ramipril now on 1.25 which has helped for some symptoms but I

Post Cardioversion advice
After 4 ‘failed’ ablations, I yesterday had a cardioversion for atrial tachycardia. I went back into NSR after only one shock on the lowest setting and my EP was pleased with how the procedure went. Does anyone have any advice about how I can try to stay in sinus? I know it’s a bit of a lottery but

reducing/ coming off propranolol slow release 80mg - has anyone had success with this as all I see is bad things…
prescribed propranolol for what they thought was anxiety, I was originally on ramipril for high bp however stopped this (stupidly) I felt I was having withdrawal and ended up in a n e but told it was anxiety. Was then put on indapamide for bp, I then had a few days of feeling really awful, doctor then

Ramipril cough!
I have had a persistent chesty cough for many years on Ramipril, my GP put me in for an X-ray recently and I will get the results in a week or 2, I highly suspect it's Ramipril cough as it most definitely can be a side effect of taking Ramipril, if my X-rays don't show any particular problem I shall

Change of levo brand to Aristo any problems anyone?
Hi, I have found that I'm sensitive to a change of brand and Aristo is now the only brand of levothyroixine at my local pharmacy. Since changing from Accord 2 1/2 months ago I've found that I've been having repeated headaches and weight gain. Also my blood pressure is scarily high. I'm aware this

I am 51 y/o and was diagnosed with v.high BP in Jan 2024 of 210/130. This stayed high (>198/120) even after a few days and immediately the GP put me on 10mg Amlodipine which reduced my average BP over 3 weeks to approx 155/95. I was then also given 2.5mg Ramipril too (after bloods were fine) and this

Ramipril cough
I was just wondering about peoples experiences with ramipril-related cough. I've had my medication switched recently because I was coughing more and more over time and it was doing my head in. Yesterday was my last day taking ramipril and while I'm certainly aware the cough may take some time to stop

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

My Angina Story - 2024
Hi - telling my story since I'm feeling a little confused and down, and wanted to share. Last year in 2023 I was diagnosed with high blood pressure (it's been a little high for past 20 years) but GP wanted to bring it down consistently so put onto Ramipril that did the job nicely. It was early Jan

unsure about medication
Hi I’m just wondering if anyone on here is taking bisoprolol ramipril and aspirin? And why are you taking it. That’s what I take but I don’t know why. I struggle to pay attention when my cardiologist talks to me and I know very little about my own heart condition

citalopram sudden withdrawal
i was prescribed 20 mg citalopram by my gp when my husband had a stroke in 2017, due to anxiety. I was recently rushed into Intensive Care for dangerously low sodium levels. Citalopram is one of the drugs causing this, along with omeprazole and ramipril. The hospital immediately stopped these 3 medications

I thought I would share with you my experience of a cough due to ramipril in case it helps someone else as I didn’t believe it would cause such an awful cough. I was prescribed ramipril after having a HA in July last years. No side effects at all. I got an awful cold in November which also came with

Inflamed liver
Hi All, I haven't posted for a while, so I will try to explain how I feel generally. Had HA back in September & had a stent fitted. Most of the time I feel ok but every now & again I feel pretty awful, like I'm getting over Flu or a virus. My main symptons are tenderness in lower ribs & stomach ache

Hi husband is taking ramipril, indepamide and bisoprolol for a good few months now and feels pretty rubbish most of the time constantly tired we've been doing BP readings all week and he's averaging 130/90 again. His levels had come down a fair bit when first taking all 3,is it normal for them to suddenly

8 months post Nstemi and quadruple CABG
it’s not all been a linear progress but it has been pretty darn good. Back ggedt issue I’ve had is with my statins. I thought it was the Bisoprolol (1.25mg ) and ramipril (half a 1.25mg tablet) that was making me dizzy , fatigued and zombie like every afternoon to early evening. Plus I had cognitive
