Fainting and shakes
Hi, I am new to posting but have been reading for some time. I was diagnosed with afib in 2021 and also had a stroke caused by a brain bleed. I am now in PAF which kicks in every 2 weeks or so, lasting a few hours. When this happens I usually have a "funny turn" , feel a bit faint for a few seconds

Blood pressure low side?
It's been 4 months since HA, and I feel good. Apart from the light headed feeling I get. BP readings around 105-118/ 65-75 regions. I spoke to my doctor , whilst he said the BP where fine, they could be episodes where I'm bordering on the low side which may be causing the light headed, quesy moments.

Had Bypass 8 yearsago after heart attack and was put on ramipril amongst other drugs. After 8 years suddenly developed facial swelling arund lips and tongue. Taken off Ramipril and placed on Losartan. Any body else had problems with ramipril causing swellings. Does it get better after switching meds.

Lansoprazole irregular heartbeat
I have discovered sometimes I have an irregular heartbeat due to buying a new blood pressure monitor which flags it up.Due to supplies at the chemist running out I couldn't take Lansoprazole in the morning so took around 10pm along with the atorvastatin and Ramipril. Had no problems all day then after

Stopping Bisoprolol & ramipril
Long story short! I’ve been on 2.5 of each now for over two years & im over 18months clear in sinus rhythm after a successful ablation in feb 22 I’ve recently had an eco which shows heart in full health, I’ve been through the genetics route which concluded no heart disease or family history to worry

2 lead pacemaker to CRT PM
HiHad a 2 lead PM fitted 21 months ago following AV node ablation and since then I have developed heart failure and AF. Had three visits to heart failure clinic and been prescribed ramipril, bisoprolol and dapagliflozin. Cardiologist has stated a short term therapy of amiodarone may help get me back

Ramipril - dry tickly cough
Hello, I have developed a dry tickly cough 8 weeks after starting my meds for an NSTEMI in January this year. I have read this is a common side effect of tacking Ramipril. Has anyone switched to an alternative that does not cause the cough, i will talk to my GP about switching but wondered if this was

post heart attack and stent insertion
my partner had heart attack and stent inserted at the end of January. Nothing but trouble since in that it seems the medication has some effect in constant dizzy spells and light heads, so extreme that he cannot leave the house and isn't eating as much etc. He has been taken off ramipril altogether.

Stopping PPI?
Hello everyone, I'm approaching a year post Nstemi with one stent and thus the end of ticagrelor hourray! What I am wondering is if I am then down to aspirin as the only blood thinner (plus ezetimibe and atorvastatin long term but hopefully not much longer on bisoprolol and ramipril ) do I still need

I truly want to believe.
I genuinely want to believe that once I begin exercising more seriously, I will shed many of the health problems I face. I am pre-diabetic, I am about 30 pounds overweight, and I have high blood pressure that seems to get worse with time. My cholesterol has declined considerably, along with being diagnosed

Moderate Calcification
Good morning all, I was recently invited for a lung check and have been recalled as the scan showed moderate Calcification. As I like to be proactive and believe this is due to fatty diet, are there any recommendations for menus that will halt (improve?) This condition. My brother dies with this condition

Very high blood pressure suddenly
I had my BP checked back in Apr 2023, and it was borderline high, so they asked me to do a 2 week diary - take it 3 times, give lowest reading, twice a day. The usual. I forgot, then took it in June and it was 188/102 and I got such a shock I assumed I was having a panic attack and - because I'm an idiot

Ceasing Apixaban
I am due for knee joint replacement surgery. Can anyone relate their experience with stopping and starting Apixaban before and after the operation. I also take Ramipril, will I need to stop this for a while?. Thanks
