Ramipril cough!

I have had a persistent chesty cough for many years on Ramipril, my GP put me in for an X-ray recently and I will get the results in a week or 2, I highly suspect it's Ramipril cough as it most definitely can be a side effect of taking Ramipril, if my X-rays don't show any particular problem I shall ask to be taken off Ramipril and onto an alternative, I for one can't carry on with Ramipril if it seems to be the cause of my constant chesty cough!

Fingers crossed it is only a side effect of the drug you have been taking and your Xray is clear .

Hi, I had a dry cough with Lisinopril, a similar drug, and it turned out to be reflux which soon stopped with appropriate meds, so I stayed on Lisinopril.
