Ramipril cough

GP has changed my BP medication as was suffering from the cough. How long does it take for cough to disappear. Probably not suffered as much as some more if I take a deep breath then tickles and have to cough.

Hi moneylover

I had the same, switched to lostartan and it only took a couple of days for that annoying ramapril cough to go away.

And does lostartan work as well for your BP? Without annoying side effects? Many thanks

Yes it works well for me with no side effects but everyone is different.

Work with your GP or surgery pharmacist, sure you will find one that works for you, don't despair, there are plenty of BP meds to choose from

I find Jakemans lozenges incredibly good at soothing ticklish troublesome coughs. Honey and lemon.

Good luck.

I stopped using Ramipril because I developed a cough and I was allergic to it. I worked well, though, despite my reactions.
