Falls, trips and slips

I suddenly realised that this makes 4 falls in ten months - not a good thing to do. I definitely know it’s not seizures (also have epilepsy) and I think it’s co-ordination rather than balance, as each time I felt the trip or slip.

Last December 23 I was on a trip with the U3A to Rochester, Kent with friends, and I was standing outside a shop and suddenly my balance 'went' and I fell heavily sideways and broke my wrist, dislocated both my elbow and my shoulder and then, after hospital treatment, spent the next 8 weeks indoors

I keep trying to hold it up. I keep trying to apply a quick fix, a little duct tape and super glue. I keep looking for a way to fit when it's clear I don't. My world was set on fire and now the sky is caving in on me. The darkness has taken over, daylight is dim and I'm tired. I can't keep holding it

Morning all. So yesterday I kept well away from the snow and ice and stayed indoors as usual.Cold weather causes fibro pain to increase but I've been experiencing more issues with peripheral vision. Eyes tested and all ok but foggy head and dizzyness is more than usual. To cut a long story short I slipped

He falls flat on his face. "Shoite!" he says and pulls himself up by the stool and dusts himself off. He takes a step towards the door and falls flat on his face again. "Shoite, Shoite!"

Perhaps this falls under the broad category of "brain fog"? Or could it be a natural result of aging? I'm 75. Thanks for any thoughts you might share.

The fire service came out today to fit smoke detectors and the fall crisis team are coming out to fit alarms around the house and a personal alarm around my neck, because I have add a few falls. It was very nice of them

I am currently mobile and walking without aids, however have had a few recent falls which could have been prevented due to me not following guidance on falls management. I also suffer with severe exhaustion.

Christmas should be for families, but what do you do when you have someone that courses trouble all the time and falls out no matter what time of year it is , I feel guilty if I don't have them but I know my anxiety will hit the roof . I love my sons but just can't cope any advice please.

My life and MS one stays up one falls one spins or on some lucky days even one up is a blessing.(by the way there are divots in the trick plates)...so for me unbalanced is balanced.....i love order...i love peace....i love life.

So, what do you do to help prevent falls, or help you get around without fear of falling? I'm so weak, I'm not sure a cane/walking stick would help, I just don't have the power to lean and hold myself up on one side.

Balance is his main difficulty therefore is a falls risk. As it’s such a newly discovered condition the consultants often won’t know how to answer my questions so it would be great to chat with someone who either has it or knows someone with it so we can compare notes

I read xtandi can cause falls and that sounds scary ! Are both equally effective ? Are there any comparitive studies

I have had a lot of falls, overbalance and get shaky. I get sore hands with red lumps and skin redness. I also have Chronic Kidney Disease. I wondered if anyone gets similar symptoms. Thank you
