Falls, trips and slips

I suddenly realised that this makes 4 falls in ten months - not a good thing to do. I definitely know it’s not seizures (also have epilepsy) and I think it’s co-ordination rather than balance, as each time I felt the trip or slip.

Last December 23 I was on a trip with the U3A to Rochester, Kent with friends, and I was standing outside a shop and suddenly my balance 'went' and I fell heavily sideways and broke my wrist, dislocated both my elbow and my shoulder and then, after hospital treatment, spent the next 8 weeks indoors

Morning all. So yesterday I kept well away from the snow and ice and stayed indoors as usual.Cold weather causes fibro pain to increase but I've been experiencing more issues with peripheral vision. Eyes tested and all ok but foggy head and dizzyness is more than usual. To cut a long story short I slipped

He falls flat on his face. "Shoite!" he says and pulls himself up by the stool and dusts himself off. He takes a step towards the door and falls flat on his face again. "Shoite, Shoite!"

So, what do you do to help prevent falls, or help you get around without fear of falling? I'm so weak, I'm not sure a cane/walking stick would help, I just don't have the power to lean and hold myself up on one side.

The fire service came out today to fit smoke detectors and the fall crisis team are coming out to fit alarms around the house and a personal alarm around my neck, because I have add a few falls. It was very nice of them

I had two falls over two days in December. Now I get anxiety attacks that will fall over again and I worry about the medical tests my G.P. has ordered.

I have had a lot of falls, overbalance and get shaky. I get sore hands with red lumps and skin redness. I also have Chronic Kidney Disease. I wondered if anyone gets similar symptoms. Thank you

I was fitted with an ILR last year due to a request from my neurologist who was seeing me for unexplained falls backwards. Interestingly, I have now had no falls since March 2023. However a few weeks ago, I was in bed and almost on the point of sleep when my heart went bananas!

C25K Wk4🏃‍♀️2 Hanging in there like a hair on a biscuit 🍪 🤣 UGH it’s so warm and muggy out my poor Chesticles felt like they had Niagara Falls Running betwix them 🤣🤣. Run 2 done and kinda glad that’s over .

He also falls asleep late afternoon and sometimes during the evening is this something that happens with MSA.
