Hi everyone, I’m sure this has been asked before but I can’t remember seeing it, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago, I get lower rate for standard living for arthritis in my hands and failed carpel tunnel surgery also on both hands, my renewal is up soon, I am also with the pain management , I am also seeing a consultant at the fall clinic as I have blackouts he thinks it could be CHD but also falls related to my fibromyalgia, I am in constant pain, and unable to do the usual things, bathing on my own, food preparation and cooking ect, also I can’t walk very far ( waiting for a COPD test) but cannot go out on my own due to falls which I have injured myself a few times, so my question is am I better doing a change of circumstances now or waiting for my renewal, CAB said to wait but I’m panicking incase they ask why I havnt informed them sooner, Thanks for any advice xx

I have done a change of circumstances as my 5 year award was up November past. I am still waiting on a decision although they have been in touch and now have everything they need .

The final part for me was to give them a picture of all my medications with my name on it, at this point I have not needed to see anyone face to face the interview was done over the phone. They went through basically everything I had written and asked questions on that information.

As I said I haven’t had a decision yet but so far the actual application has been so much easier than it was 5 years ago.

Hi

Thanks for your reply, sorry to be a pain but did you do add your change of circumstances with your renewal form or was it separately xx

I had to add a change of circumstances with everything I can do/not do as well as lost every medication I am currently taking.

When they called they went through really everything I had already written asking the same things again about daily tasks and living and that is when I was asked to take a picture of the medication with my name on the boxes and send it to them.

It has been with them not from before Xmas and I am still waiting on a decision.

Hi there, I would do a change of circumstances, as it states to do that at any point during the period you have been granted PIP. If you're unsure about anything when you ring them, have a family member with you to help explain your new changes, this helped me with my Teams interview when I was applying for PIP.Wishing you the best.

Thank you so much for your reply, I’m just gathering as much information and letters as possible, then I will ring them, Thanks again x
