Morning all. So yesterday I kept well away from the snow and ice and stayed indoors as usual.Cold weather causes fibro pain to increase but I've been experiencing more issues with peripheral vision. Eyes tested and all ok but foggy head and dizzyness is more than usual.
To cut a long story short I slipped on the wooden floor and went down three stairs culminating in my whole body ramming my little toe under an oak door .
Broken toe and very badly bruised foot later and feeling rather sorry for myself.
Local minor injury unit ...ice it .. they no longer x-ray little toe.... Come back if the bruising and swelling doesn't go away after a while.
Oh well... Hopping along now but still smiling.
Fibro is a gift that just keeps giving !!!
Happy Thursday everyone, stay safe.

hi, so sorry to hear about your fall, I hope you heal quickly.
But don’t blame everything on fm, I have the same problem, and I have some major falls, my doctor decided to send me to the falls clinic, who in turn referred me back to the pain clinic, who then referred me to a professor of pain management and cfs, it turned out I have major cfs, which is affecting my brain and balance and eyes, dizziness, light sensitive, there isn’t a cure for it, but you can get tools, and coping methods, so it might be an idea for you to see your doctor, and see what they say.
In the meantime, be careful, walls, doors, furniture walking are your friends, keep safe.
I have just been diagnosed with cfs by my gp so I was guessing it was that. Over 43% of people with fibromyalgia have CFS so I guess it's common to have both.
Good morning, sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you have a quick recovery. I don't go out in the ice and snow unless I really can't avoid it. We haven't had any snow yet but it is very, very cold. Best to stay in and keep warm.
We're north Wales near Wrexham. Sunshine now and staring to thaw . Fingers crossed we don't have more. It's beautiful and quiet when it falls ....but it's the idiots in the aftermath that causes the problems. .... Take care
I'm like a pin ball game at the moment. Bouncing off all the walls and dropping down holes ... I'm sure I'm on the highest score ever lol Wondering what my prize will be ? Same as the game probably... No reward just my name on the league table of most injuries due to fibromyalgia... He he he
Oh Ive done that could have sworn someone tripped me ( although I was home alone lol) Then as I got back up I bashed my head on the metal stag we have on the wall ... So he got his own back...even though he's not real 😆
I fell over in B&Q last year with my friend who's on crutches . I just kept going really slowly my stick didn't help I somehow got entangled in the begonias and although many people stood staring we were both in fits of laughter.... Not one person came to help. I was so busy Laughing I didn't see I'd put my hand out and dislocated my thumb .
Oh what lives we lead...at least we know we're alive.... The pain tells us we're not dead yet. !!!
oh dear me! What are you like??? You are a liability - and need wrapping up in a thousand layers of protective paper!! Never change your humour, as you have certainly made me smile today and work is stressful so very much needed!!
