Intrinsic factor blood test results...
Hi All, After testing below range for vitamin B12 I have just received the results of the intrinsic factor blood test and it states intrinsic factor ABS negative. Does this mean I can supplement with b12 now? And folate? At what dose? I know I’m low in b12 but the only symptom I have is hairloss! I

Parietal cell antibody test
I know I'm repeating myself but want to be clear. Is it correct that if you test negative for this it's reliable? I've not had the intrinsic factor test. I'm asking as I'm getting the vibe as one year in now the surgery want to decrease my B12 injections. B12 was put on my latest blood form after

Very low B12 Levels...
Hi All, I’ve been found to have very low levels of vitamin B12 & folate. I’m having a blood test to check the intrinsic factor tomorrow. If that comes back negative can I supplement myself to get my levels up or do I have to have injections?? My only symptom is hairloss! I’m on loading doses of vitamin

I need advice??
Okay, so I was just wondering if anyone knows how doctors rule out any underlying medical issues and just say that it’s anxiety? I need to stop googling symptoms because then my brain gives me the worst case scenario. I start thinking “Maybe it’s a brain tumor, or lung cancer, or breast cancer, or vertigo

Hi everyone. Until last week, I knew nothing about PBC and I have found out a lot from this forum and from the pbc foundation website. So thank you. Diet during treatment
I'm in the middle of my b12 injection treatment, having completed 7 daily injections and two injections once a week. I'm positive for intrinsic factor blocking antibody, and we're confirming whether I have PA with an endoscopy in the next weeks. My question: What should my diet be at this point? Balanced

Ivor Lewis best surgeon ever!
Hi there, I had and Ivor Lewis Oesophastrectomy in Sept 2017. I had a chest infection and a Dr sent me for a chest X-ray, it revealed a leiomyoma, 17cms in size, which was attached to my oesophagus and the top of my stomach. I had 15cms of my oesophagus removed along with the tumour and the sphincter

New to A fib
Hi forgive the long post. My very fit young for his age 73 husband has 3 weeks ago been diagnosed with A fib. It all started with extreme dizziness lightheaded. No pain. He was also fetching awfully but only white froth coming up. Paramedics called who thought he had an inner ear infection until they

Normal Test
So update about my health. Echo normal, MRI of the brain normal. Normal Chest X-Ray and labs. My B/P was a little high but no meds right now just doing a life style change. The cardiologist still want me to wear a monitor just to see what type of palpitations I have. So my feeling are all anxiety. WE

Anyone else been through this..?
For the last month I’ve had symptoms doctors can’t tell me what’s going on and it’s really frustrating I had period pain and took naprogesic pills to ease the pain (naprogesic pills contain naproxen and apparently naproxen triggers asthma) which I didn’t have at the time. Minutes later I started to

Lack of help.
Hi, I have experienced loads of problems since being diagnosed with Bronchiectasis some 10 years ago and I am so confused. To cut a long story short I went from being a reasonably fit guy playing rugby every weekend to hardly being able to run at all. For 2 years I was back and forth to my GP who
