Overmedicated?
Just got my latest test results back. I've been feeling off (not that I've ever been well since my diagnosis) but worse than usual. I have a burning tongue, body aches and worsening nerve tingles and burning in my hands and even groin area too (that's new). I've had a increased appetite and looser stools

Still waiting for results!
I had a blood test 4 weeks ago. My GP wanted a full blood count and also Intrinsic Factor test ( which I had to request) as my B12 levels have been steadily dropping over the last 12 months, despite a diet rich in B12. The FBC results were back within a week but I'm still waiting for the IF test results

Latest update after seeing my GP again...
I just thought I’d update you on my latest visit to my GP, and the plan that he has put together to try to sort me out. The plan is for a routine medical (which he has already done), some new blood tests, an ultrasound test and a chest X-ray. He did the medical today and felt all round my liver and

Injection frequency for Vitamin B12
I have been diagnosed with severe deficiency of B12 a month ago. My B12 level was 95 pmol/l (which is 42.27 ng/ml) and Active B12 level was 18 pmol/l (8.01 ng/ml) . I presented my GP and Neurologist with slow movements of right arm, right hand fingers and leg. I have sort of little burning sensation

Good news, but overthinking.
Last night I had an attack that lasted about an hour long. I felt like I literally couldn’t breathe, chest was pounding, vision problems, racing heart, shaking, etc. This morning I woke up crying and shaking (I’ve been doing that for the last few days tbh) so I said enough is enough, I’m going to the

Just got diagnosis, what else should I be taking
Hi All I have coleliac's disease and had always believed that my low b12 was due to this. I was a little casual about getting my 3 monthly b12 shot as I've been super-busy setting up a new business for the last couple of years. My last blood test showed b12 of 112 and I'm now having 6 shots every other

B12 Deficient Newby
Hi All. Having recently been diagnosed with B12 deficiency I have been reading the posts here with interest. I am learning quickly but still have a few questions that my doc can't/won't answer. I have yet to be diagnosed with PA or the reason for my deficiency. It isn't to do with diet as I eat all

What a day, another trip to A&E.
Hey everyone hope you’re all ok or as well as can be. Thought I would share my day from hell. I called my GP as I have picked up a virus which was making a rapid migration to my chest. I had a bit of a temperature as you would expect from a virus when you’re severely immune suppressed as I am. They

I have had a morning cough for several weeks. My dr had me try Zyrtec and taking my pantoprazole at a different time. I went back to my dr yesterday and was prescribed a sinus rinse several times a day and an antibiotic. I also had a chest X-ray. I haven’t gotten the results of the X-ray yet and I’m

Please help.
Hello everyone. I know I’ve been making a lot of posts pretty much about the same thing, but I’m very worried. I’ve never been this worried about myself before. Yesterday I had a really bad day. I had a really bad anxiety attack in the morning. I calmed down and the rest of my day went okay, but last

Ferritin vs HB as proxy for iron deficiency / iron anaemia
Hi, My first time commenting here! When assessing a child for their likelihood of having a coeliac condition - a child with an IG(A) deficiency, what vitamin insufficiencies do you look at to support or rule out a potential case.
