ThyroidDisease and Cataracts
Has anyone had any experience with developing cataracts and is there a potential link to thyroid disease? My ophthalmologist has told me my thyroid eye disease makes me a poor surgical candidate.and getting a second opinion is pretty much out of the question. I am 61 and an active sewer and the prospect

ubiquinone vs ubiquinol
I have just realised my Coq10 I’ve been taking for three months is ubiquinone form. I just thought I was taking ubiquinol 😫 Been doing 300mg twice a day. I’m worried I’ve missed a trick now. I’ve ordered some ubiquinol now but I’m starting downreg in about three weeks. Thoughts please lovely people

Something I forgot to mention
I wrote about Toprol (Metoprol) a few minutes ago. I forgot to mention that I also take Flecainide, 100 mg. twice a day.

Trabeculectomy at 18
Hi I had a Trabeculectomy back in July and sadly my vision has never been the same. The first few weeks my surgeon was surprised because everything went well, my vision was the same and my eye pressure dropped to a good level (13) from what it was (57). But afterwards my eye pressure dropped too low

Whose advice should I follow?
I had a trabeculectomy 18 months ago. Last July I went to a Moorfields virtual clinic for monitoring. I received a letter from the doctor a few days later to say that my visual field on the operated eye was gradually worsening & that I would be seen at the Consultant led clinic four months later. I

restless leg syndrome
I have read up on this and found a article recommending to take one turmeric and one Tylenol no other type of pain reliever must be Tylenol. When I am getting restless leg syndrome at night I take one of each and I was in total shock because within 15 minutes my legs were calm. I could not believe it

fed up of this life
as the title says.. I’m fed up of this life. I know that there are others worse off than me I get it, but lately I can’t seem to shake this feeling off of feeling ugly, disgusting and disappointing. I’m sick of being in pain and swollen! I don’t remember the last time my hands weren’t or my knees

My Back prproblems starstarted in the Military
My back problems began while on active duty in the Coast Guard. They diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease and osteoporosis. In May of 2019 I had a Lamondectomy, and in 2020 I had a discectomy. In November, 2023 I had a tubular decompressioin. This comming Fall I will be having a spinal fusion.

Living Hell
I first experienced RLS about 1982. I had no idea what was wrong with me so I just put it down to some sort of allergy. As the attacks were quite intermittent, I didn't seek any help at the time. After about a year though. The frequency and severity of the attacks increased manyfold and was now causing

Ramblings from a calf strain sufferer
Apologies for the longer post, but I am trying to gather my thoughts and the physio advice received, to devise some sort of recovery and prevention plan addressing my reoccurring calf strains. In the off chance that someone might be in the same position, I thought I’d wrote it all down, as my ramblings

Post spinal fusion surgery

Pain!
I have been in bed for the past two hours crying with horrible pain, breathing like I am in labor. It seemed like the only thing that made sense. If I thought the hospital could help I would go there, but I know they won’t do anything for me. My pain medicine has kicked in finally so I think I will just

Advice on raising NDT
Following on from my post on 26/02/24, my symptoms got worse (increased number of anxiety attacks and unable to cope with pain in head/neck and upper back) and the GP didn't have any ideas, so I saw a thyroid specialist recommended by thyroid UK in April. The doctor had my blood tests done and these

Rebound headache
I'm a long time migran e sufferer, diagnosed with chronic migrane. I've currently got a very painful throat infection, the g.p advised painkillers, until I get the results of throat swabs, but my neurologist is telling me to not take regular painkillers, as I've had rebound headaches in the past. I'm
