Nice different GP!
We then chatted about Pred, diet, lifestyle,
exercise
, flares. He actually asked what a flare felt like for me!! I told him and I also said that I was scared to reduce below 5 mg because I had a flare when I did that. He said it was okay to linger at 5 mg if that felt right for me.

Hypothyroid for 30 years
I am now physically disabled with arthritic knees and cannot walk far, so any
exercise
I used to be able to do is now not available to me because of high degree pain.

Giving up work before retirement.
I was an
exercise
teacher, activity provider and therapist. I loved my work but it was quite stressful and a lot of driving.I had been struggling to keep going for a year but what made the final decision was that I fell asleep at the wheel of my car!

Evaluating
It is all trial and error to try and figure out how robustly to
exercise
my neurological system. The amount I can
exercise
my neurological system is changing/improving so it is a moving target. I use hunger as an evaluation to stay away from "healthy eating" as a solution.

Walking to Ease Depression
I have been advised that some kind of
exercise
can help starting with walking. Has anyone else felt like this due to aging ? Any tips or advice would be appreciated. thank you Chris

Did Covid trigger my GCA?
I’ve been on the Zoe programme for 2 years so have mainly a plant based diet, don’t eat highly processed foods, don’t drink alcohol, annd I
exercise
regularly. I can’t understand where the GCA came from. Has anyone else made this connection between Covid and GCA? Mary #Covid

Cholesterol Slightly Raised
Surprisingly it has risen slightly, bit concerned as my diet has not changed (I am really careful in what I eat, rarely drink more 4/5 units a week) and nor has my
exercise
routines in fact if anything I work out harder now.

statin side effect?
I always wake badly depressed but force myself to
exercise
as that really helps. But I have got seriously worse over last few months and the only thing that has changed is that I have been taking Rosuvastatin. Only 5 mg 3 times a week as rapidly reduced my LDL. Coukd it be making me worse?

I'm 84, a recovering compulsive gambler and afraid of dementia
I ride an indoor
exercise
bicycle. It helps a little, but does not have the same calming and grounding effects. I woke this morning yet again afraid and realized I needed to reach out to people who might understand. So, here I am.

Need advice on diet and exercise
I am feeling very down today. I had an appointment with Endo specialist yesterday and was told I am on the highest priority for my laparoscopy in Wales to treat my frozen pelvis. As the top tier of patients waiting for this treatment is now so long(due to covid, etc) I will hopefully have my treatment

mobitz 2 and ASD but no treatment?
Also, had a treadmill
exercise
test which went well, apparently there was something abnormal that came up, but again cardiologist not bothered as it is “common in women” Overall I am fit and healthy, had two uncomplicated pregnancies and now have a 4 and 1.5 year old.

Anyone asking about Trimbow inhaler
It will never be fixed but I don't smoke and I
exercise
when I can and all this can slow it down a little to last a bit longer when older. But please contact me if you need chat on Trimbow or cancer on lung. And I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all the best for 2024.

5 MINUTE CRAVING BUSTERS.
Go to this place every time you do this
exercise
so that it becomes familiar and comfortable. As you settle in, start to follow your breathing, and slow it down gradually. Breathe deeply in and out for three to five minutes. Vacations of the Mind 3) Drink a glass of water.

In the spirit of sharing
I have not started any meds yet, trying to maintain (or maybe increase) bone density through
exercise
, diet, and some supplements. I do a lot of walking, some weight training and stay pretty active. I have no fragility fractures, that I know of. On a short walk yesterday, I fell.
