Since starting on levothyroxine I have had chronic joint pain and am unable to
exercise
. All other blood tests came back normal . Is there an alternative to levothyroxine as my body can’t tolerate it?I have now stopped taking it

Rectal pain and poo talk (hopefully not too much info) 💩
I eat well with lots of fibre in my diet, I’m post-op at the moment but I usually
exercise
multiple times per week and am a very active person. I’ve had a colonoscopy and stool tests which have not raised any concerns other than blood in my stool.

Rheumatologist referral
I have followed their
exercise
suggestions and I swim a couple of times a week. Added problem is that I have needed to do more walking than I would have chosen taking husband to many hospital appts and walking long distances from car parks.

Straw therapy for low speech volume
There are not many specific to PD; it’s mostly for musical voice training, but it does make sense as an
exercise
to increase muscle tone in the throat. He reports to me that he finds that it helps — again, IF he keeps up with it.

A Goal without a Plan....
A session of pill box and refill, sorting again, with Mr OF( a marathon in itself), and then home made soup to be made... does chopping loads of veggies, count as
exercise
? Then the day is mine.

Exercise
Having just started on steroids 2 weeks ago, I have been wondering about
exercise
in helping recovery. Any recommendations on how much to do?What type of
exercise
has helped you? Do you have a daily routine?

Bloating and weight gain solutions anyone?
I
exercise
religiously but feel so frustrated at time that nothing gives. My haemo is not sympathetic and I guess all the treatment drugs would have the same effect. Although my gain is not too bad (3 kg) I would love to learn of any special diets. Currently doing low fodmap, as I also have IBS.

Exercise routines
Hi folks, Curious to know what people do
exercise
wise to keep themselves ticking over? Pre heart attack I did a lot of walking, aswell as being healthy, I always found it a good release to relax, put on a podcast and just chill for an hour or so.

MDD and impact on physical health
What I learned is
exercise
can help but not a cure for depression. You can’t
exercise
depression away. Have others noticed their physical health deteriorate over time with Depression?

Confused
I stopped drinking immediately as I was told about the cirrhosis and have changed my eating habits massively, also trying to do more
exercise
. What I'm trying to get at is is it really reversible or maybe it was never there to start with?

myocarditis
I have long covid and for months I’ve suffered debilitating symptoms of arhythmia and breathlessness and exhaustion on
exercise
Finally after an MRI scan of heart I have been told I have myocarditis. Does anyone have experience of this being caused by covid?

Giving up work before retirement.
I was an
exercise
teacher, activity provider and therapist. I loved my work but it was quite stressful and a lot of driving.I had been struggling to keep going for a year but what made the final decision was that I fell asleep at the wheel of my car!

Low Carb or even Keto why is not recommended with low thyroid - can I control prediabetes with diet ?
As I write, I am thinking of now of pushing my
exercise
level as well for pre diabetes. I am reasonably active but sometimes my work and "thyroid rabbit holes" lead to periods of sedentary behaviour!
Background
(I am a bit over range on T4 and about 15% on T3 range.

A dark evening walk can be lovely, but it’s important to stay safe when out and about.

Consultant won’t operate for pain.
I refused as I’ve tried a number of birth control options in the past and whilst some have taken away the heavy bleeding, they have no baring on the pelvic pain during the month and after
exercise
and/or sex.
