Diltazem Viazem XL
I have been taking taking Diltazem for around 21/2 months now as an alternative to Digoxin which worked for me if I sat still but was useless for any kind of exercise which made my heart rate increase to very high levels. Diltazem has worked well in any situation be it sitting or exercise and I have

Diverticulitis diagnosis
Recently diagnosed with uncomplicated diverticulitis, spent 4 days on IV antibiotics & fluids only in horrendous pain. Released on day 5 as pain was manageable (their words) & told to eat low fibre diet for next week & then to eat high fibre diet. I have found that white bread brings back cramps & bloating

Trying to help to newly diagnosed PMR
I was 54 when it first hit from nowhere. I was in absolute agony and nobody got it. I struggled with the idea of PMR at my age and simply couldn’t bear the idea of it. Steroids just seemed such a big leap and I tried everything high mg slow release ibruprofen, turmeric, heated pads, you name it. I bought

Balanitis for 3 months
I’ve been dealing with a fungal infection / Balanitis for the past 3 months 1/2. It started when I had smegma underneath my foreskin built up that caused redness. I was prescribed Ketoconazole and Desitin which got rid of the infection in 3 weeks. I was dealing with a bit of tip issues towards the end

Flaring and fed up
Good morning all. I'm on my fourth day of a horrid flare and feeling massively sorry for myself so sorry for the self indulgent post. My legs have gone - achey, fizzy and no strength; sharp one-sided head pain is back with dizziness and sick feeling; joints aching and so stiff - when I move from most

Periods worsening every time I take a break from hormones?
On the
evra
patch
, took it off to have a period before switching to the pill (logynon) as the patch was causing high blood pressure and palpitations. Every time I take my patch off if seems to get worse.

Pill recommendations?
I am currently on the
evra
patch
which does a fair job to help with my symptoms but I think it might be the patch and the hormones that’s causing it? Other people have said they had heart palpitations too but idk.

The list below is copied from a paper published last year [1]. As many might recall, untreated tumors outgrow their blood supply. Contrary to popular belief, cancer does not "hate" oxygen. Oxygen insufficiency (hypoxia) results in production of HIF-1alpha (hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha), which triggers

PLANTS ARE GREAT!
I love plants and have many different kinds indoors and outdoors in the garden. I recently read an article online about good plants and some to avoid. The right plants can add moisture (humidity) to indoor air and can provide lots of health benefits. For example: 1. Rubber plants are great

Heart palpitations and skipping beats caused by hormones?
I don't know if it is because of my
Evra
patch
(contraceptive patch), could it be the hormones and should I look into switching to the pill? or is it a symptom of endo? Would be a shame if I had to come off the patch because I think it does really help my endo symptoms to an extent.

Endovan?
I'm awaiting surgery (6 months waiting list) and also on the
evra
contraceptive
patch
to help manage my symptoms but kind of want to gradually come off it. Not sure if this birth control will interfere with the endovan too?

I am currently on the patch after being on pop for a few years. This is my first patch free week and I’m currently 4 days in with no period - is this normal or should I be having a period?

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal
