Hey there, I have tried Maca cause I thought it could help with my constant feeling of tiredness, I thought it could help with the energy level but it gave me lot of stomach problems. Stabbing pain where my stomach is, I have read a lot about maca and while there are some who advocate for it, some other are saying that raw maca should not be eaten because it is to "heavy" for our body to process and could be full of bacteria. That's why maca in South America is usually eaten after boiling.I have found eating smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones helps with the endo pain, cutting down on carbs also yoga and stretching.
Hope you find what helps you x
Thank you. I had read that too, others are suggesting that it shouldn't be taken by those on the pill because it affects hormones too. Supposedly it isn't advisable for women with endo either because it can act as and estrogen. Hope things settled once you stopped taking it.
I started Aloe a couple of weeks ago for digestion which may or may not be endo related, not much of a change as yet.
I have Maca but I leave it alone a few days before and after period as it can make you bleed as it messes with the pill, but other than that I can have a small amount of powder and mixed with Turmeric and I've felt so much better, energy and less pain after taking it a few times a week for 2 months! But yes you have to figure out how much you can take as it can upset your stomach and hormones so just be careful, a very small amount and it's perfect for me!
