For those who've been wondering where I am, I apologize. In January my gp increased my anti-depressant (doubled it) in an attempt to get better pain control. Not a good idea. I became actively suicidal, I had a plan, a time, and I only barely managed to tell my beloveds . I spent six weeks in the psych

Fed up
Had a chest infection recently, two lots of antibiotics, so off Enbrel. Now have another chest infection and on second antibiotics, off Enbrel for three weeks now. So fed up with the pain especially in my hands and feet, the new antibiotics are strong and make me feel nauseated. Sorry to be so miserable

Injections - which one?
Hi so I've seen my Rheumi nurse and despite the steroid injection my DAS scores were high enough to qualify for biological treatment. But which one? I know the forum members cannot give medical advice (frankly I have that coming out my ears) I need some help with the medication it effects people in their

Started Enbrel
Hi everyone, Hope everyone is having a good day. After a long wait due to infections, I finally had my first Enbrel injection yesterday and seems to be having a good effect already! This morning for the first time in a long time I was able to walk downstairs without the excruciating pain :) I'm so excited

Worried
Yet another long winded stressed out post by yours truly...... Rheumy stopped my mtx 3 weeks ago when they found an infection while testing my bone marrow protein in a urine sample. I had no symptoms at the time. Lab tests showed the bug to be nitrofurantoin sensitive so was prescribed that antibiotic

Enbrel side effects
Hello - During my 15 year career with rheumatoid arthritis, I have generally annoyed the living crap out of my rheumys, by refusing to take the DMARDs. I did dabble in Methotrexate for a while, but then stopped and started several time. My problem is that I'm prone to anxiety, and the DMARDs scare

Flare up advise
Really don't know what to do...I'm not currently on any RD meds only Prednisolone. Due to side effects I can't take DMARDs, Enbrel put me in A&E and Humira caused high BP, palpitations and I felt really unwell for a week after injecting. I've been on Prednisolone for 3 years and desperately trying to

Enbrel and fungal nail infection
Hi Everyone. I have had my 1st Enbrel batch delivered today. I had a call from Healthcare at home to organise a nurse to do the first injection, and they asked if I was free from any infections. I told them I had a fungal nail infection, to which she said she would ring the nurse to check if I could

Shoulder Surgery
Well my lucky number finally came up after 16 months and I am going in for shoulder surgery on Saturday to fix a bone spur and rotator cuff tear. I guess until I manage to be able to type one handed I may not be doing much responding to posts. The worst part of this has been going off enbrel and now

Enbrel
Starting this soon after reacting to so many RA drugs, including ritumixab. Hoping after 2 years this one will work. Would appreciate hearing from those who have taken it how they found it and how long it took to work? Thanks

Simponi
I wonder if anyone has any experiences of being on Simponi. I had my first injection on 11 January. The next day I felt very very tired and this went on. I kind of expected it having been on humira and enbrel before. I carried on having this fatigue and finding that if I exerted myself, by that I mean

RA and hot flushes
I'm not on any rheumatoid meds at the minute due to adverse effects to mxt, sulphasalzine, leflunomide, Enbrel and recently Humira. I have taken daily prednisolone since 2013 and I'm desperate to get off them but can't until they find a medication that works for me. I saw a cardiologist in November

"Sore mouth"
I suffered with a sore mouth when starting Methotrexate and was told to up my folic acid to one a day except the day I was injecting. That answered the problems until this last week. I have been injecting Enbrel for about six weeks and this week my sore mouth is back. The Enbrel nurse doesn't think

Newbie
Hi. I'm Tina and new to this site having been following the RA site for several months. Diagnosed with PsA a year ago after extremely quick procession of symptoms in a short time. Have tried 3 DMARD drugs and have had Enbrel added in July. I have just gave up my career after a year of being off sick
