Chicken pox in school again but now using Cimzia- what to do?
Hi peeps- hope you're feeling the weekend? It looks like a sunny day here in the SE of England 😎 I have posted before about chicken pox (or pops as it's usually referred to in my workplace) but that was before Cimzia was added to my arsenal of meds. I was told by my nurse to be very aware of the virus

Enbrel fat belly
Since starting Enbrel 8 months ago I noticed a sudden weight gain and lots of fat on my stomach and to a lesser extent on the lower abdomen. At first it seemed to wax and wane as if it were fluid retention, but there is now a lot of fat. I'm shocked at this change. I often get even more of a bloated

Hi everyone I'm just wondering who's on Enbrel and how long have you been on it? I've been taking it for 17 years and just thought if there's anyone out there that's been taking it for the same amount of time or longer?

White cell count and RA symptoms
Hi all, I've had RA for about 5yrs now,and I've been on subcutaneous MTX and Enbrel for 4 of them, so I should know by now, but I'm confused. My white cell count is low, (3.5 and neutrophils are 1.79) I'm feeling really fatigued, pain is up, but no inflammation at the moment and the glands in my neck

All about Kay in France
Just realised I hadn't posted anything about myself! I was diagnosed in 2000 after a almost a year of misdiagnosis. I lived in Scotland when diagnosed and was put on sulphazaline which I supported for a few years. Moved to France (Picardie) in 2003 and have several major flares and drug changes since

Teeth and meds
Hi, I have Psoriatic Arthritis in all joints including jaw. I'm taking methotrexate and enbrel. My teeth are cracking. I had one out last week and another cracked today- so another trip to the dentist this week! My teeth have always been perfect. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be the disease or

Good morning folks.....Hope the sunshine is helping you all. I am waiting to start on Enbrel but because of planned eye operation, my wait will be even longer. I've been on prednisolone prior to and during my Enbrel assessment but unless i take large doses (which my rheumatologist doesn't want) I'm

Hello
Just a note to say hi really, my name is Paula, I'm 49 and was diagnosed with acute RA when I was 32. Failed on various DMARDS and was eventually put on enbrel in 2003 along with methotrexate. I'm currently in remission but still on the meds and have been taking BP and statin medication for some time

White blood count
Hospital phoned to say my white blood count was 1.8 instead of 2 - not to worry will see what next month's say! I inject 15mg of methotrexate and Enbrel! Easy to say not to worry - I could just be more prone to infection - but I'm sure someone on here can tell me more!

Benepali not working as well as Enbrel???
Hi everyone, I'm currently having an awful flare. I switched to Benepali 6 months ago from Enbrel. Since then, I've been getting worse. Terrible fatigue, lots of swollen joints, my knee has ballooned...but my blood tests aren't showing anything? I rang my Rheumatology nurse who wasn't very sympathetic

Hi everyone, due to start Benepali a biosimilar of Enbrel for Ra. Long story short, crapping myself worrying about side effects etc due to what I've read about biologics. Anyone have any views on Enbrel or Benepali. Thanks

That's how things feel for me at the minute! After speaking to rhuemy, I was told to stop the

Benepali v. Enbrel
Just had a benepali injection fail. Liquid all over my leg. Not as effective as Enbrel. Does anyone agree. Been on benepali for six months. Pain is gradually returning.
