Where to buy prescription drugs?
Hi! Maybe a bit of a silly question, but I'll have to buy some progesteron oral tablets, pessaries, duphaston, estrogen etc. in the UK and I just want to check if that would be available in any pharmacy or do I need a specialist one? Im doing my IVF abroad and I usually buy all my tablets at my clinic

Study to help patients manage their underactive thyroid
Just saw this and thought both that it is interesting it is being done. And, secondly, wondered if any would be willing to take part. I've scan read the information about the study and it appears that there is no geographical limit (please reply to let me know if I am wrong!) - just that you need to

If these were your results what would you do?
So despite increasing my T3 dose my FT3 is staying at 5. My FT4 is falling. My symptoms are mostly in check these days but the fatigue and malaise is creeping higher again and it's starting to inhibit what I can do. (Noting that my estrogen is below range and I'm hoping to start HRT soon.) I'm sporadic

Could this be GCA?
I have just the one symptom: intermittent pain on chewing, especially tougher foods like meat: no unusual headaches, scalp tenderness or visual disturbances at all. I know this isn’t a good reason for not going to the doctor, but I probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t already aware of the possibility

Gasoline?
A question for anyone who has found an answer... From 2018, when diagnosed, I have been told by doctors, urologists and oncologists that; "Testosterone, in prostate cancer, is like gasoline on a fire!" When I first heard this it seemed dubious since what I "knew" about PCa was that young men with

Radiation Sessions
I am considering proton therapy radiation for my DICS cancer found in the left breast. Six months ago, I had a dissection B - TAVAR for a torn aorta. I am very concerned about the radiation penetrating to heart and lungs. The main concern is if proton therapy radiation is so advanced, why is the standard

Help with tapering Prednisone
I was diagnosed with PMR finally in Oct 23 after ending up in hospital unable to move. Doctors have been very dismissive and I have seen rheumatologist once and been signed off. I started on Prednisone at 12.5mg then reduced to 10 mg and have been told to reduce by 1mg per month. Is this a realistic

Chondocalcitis incurable?
At least that's how I think it's spelt. It's a specialised form of RA and I have it in my left knee (along with normal RA in shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers. It's also called Pseudogout but as the crystals in Chondocalcitis are calcium they can't be dispersed as the uric acid crystals in ordinary

1 year on from heart attack and stent fitted. Still struggling.
I walked to the hospital for an appointment today, for a pre-op for a knee replacement. The hospital is only half a mile. On the way back I was out of breath and experiencing pain in the top left hand side of my chest and light-headed, and I had to sit and catch my breath. At the pre-op they checked

Persistent AF, Diltiazem, side effects or Menopause??
I apologise in advance for what will be quite a lengthy post.... :( I was diagnosed with persistent a year ago Oct 22, but likely I had it unknowingly for about 2 years prior and put breathlessness and tiredness to work/being unfit. I am 57. During that 12 months I was on Bisoprolol for 9 months and

knee replacement
hi, I’m due to have a knee replacement in a few weeks and wondered if anyone who has had the procedure experienced any issues. I’m aware of my issues regarding medication ie allergy to warfarin but ok with heparin and have opted for an epidural but my concern is with the implant itself being rejected

Mebendazole (Ovez) and oestrogen interaction
Hello, Has anybody got experience of taking Mebendazole (Ovez) whilst taking oestrogen for a FET? My clinic have initially advised that as long as I stop a course of Mebendazole (Ovez) before my frozen transfer it will be ok, but I'll have to cancel my cycle if I need to take it after transfer. However
