I received my first test results after I had blood tests and completed my CT SIM. I’ve been on Eligard for almost 3 months and PSA has dropped from 12.1 at dx to 2.1 and my testosterone has dropped to 0.6. Is this within normal expectations? I haven’t met with my oncologist yet and don’t expect to for the next 3 weeks.
I’m also starting to feel a bit low which I understand may be a side effect of ADT. What is the name of the anti-depressant that helps with hot flashes?

Welcome to the flash capital of the world. Megace worked great for me for hot flashes, unfortunately the side effects for me made my driving erratic. Most people do well on it.. Another Venlafaxine backfired on me and made everything worse... We are all different. We just take a stab at it and juggle the meds to see what will work for us... Best of luck with your crap shoot.
My Doctor put me on Effexor, it really helps but it takes time. At first I had to carry a battery operated fan to help. When I would open the front of my tee shirt my glasses would fog over 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Moving beyond the issue of hot flashes, (Sertraline) Zoloft is a good choice for an antidepressant as recent research points to Zoloft killing prostate cancer stem cells. Learnall is the go-to guy on Zoloft.
