Norethisterone
Hi ladies, i was given an IVF booklet to read from my clinic last week, so i’ve been reading it and for both long and short protocols it says you may be required to take Norethisterone, i’ve never heard of this before, has any one taken it and if so what are the reasons for it? Thanks in advance xxx

Mirena: pain without bleeding?
Hello, After 9 months and a short course of norethisterone, my Mirena seems to finally be "working" in the sense I am not getting a period anymore... However I notice I am still getting pain which seems to be cyclical, i.e. during what should be my ovulation time and also when I should be getting a period

Hi everyone, I will put a TMI warning here, but I really need to vent this out somewhere. I also hope that maybe someone might be able to offer advice or suggestions. I have been dealing with increasingly worsening pelvic pain for the past two years. I have always had horrible periods, ovulation, and

Help and advice
I'm Just about to take my last tablet of norethisterone, this is my 10th day. I Had my injection training appointment yesterday and final bloods.. as it's our first round, and our last bloods went out of the 3 month limit so we had to have them done again! I'm due to start injections on 2nd day of period

ADT & Addback Estradiol.
New Australian study below [1]. I remember reading old writings years ago that stated that, while women needed estradio [E2] for bone health, men only needed testosterone [T]. Made no sense, of course - why would there be two mechanisms? Men who had osteoporosis & very low T, also had low estradiol

Beyond deflated and fed up.
So yesterday was the end of my tww following being on Letrzole during my last cycle (after taking Norethisterone to start a bleed then with the idea that the Letrozle would induce ovulation because Clomid didn't work). Today I should have definitely either started my period or have a positive pregnancy

Synthetic HRT?
My gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston 2/10 for hot flushes. Has anyone tried this or a similar drug? For the past few years, I've been on Oestrogel and Utrogestan prescribed by Hertoghe doctor, but the hot flushes have been getting worse lately and therefore my gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston

Help! I have been on NDT 3.5-4 grains: I Titrated up in only 2.5 months and I think I made a big mistake and am way over medicated. My heart has been racing, have had rapid thoughts, state of mortal fear, anxiety and over stimulation, I only realised it was the thyroid as Ive got loads of other things

Don’t know how to feel 😕
Morning ladies! I don’t know how to feel this morning. AF has arrived! This is my first natural period after stopping Norethisterone (I don’t count the last one as it should happen after stopping it) and it’s the 30th day of my cycle today. Do I dare hope that my cycle is getting some sort of regularity

Soy question
So I have learned here that Genistein is allegedly good for us and estradiol is allegedly bad. Both are found in soy. I also eat a totally plant based diet and worry about getting enough protein if I eliminate soy products. Thoughts, suggestion?

Hey! I’m new to this 👋🏼
Hello everyone.. I’m quite new to this and don’t really know what to say!? My journey is nowhere near as long as some of those that I’ve been reading about but I’ll tell you a bit about it. So here goes... We’ve been trying to conceive for around 2 years and I’m under the gynaecologist of the hospital

FSH levels. Too high?
Hi everyone. I was hoping for some advice. I've just picked up some blood test results from my GP ahead of consultation with clinic tomorrow for our second ivf cycle. My fsh has come back as 9.9. Although this says it's within the normal range, I've got a feeling this is on the high side. It was 6.7
