Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, etc.
Postmenopausal bone loss has long been recognized as a major problem. It always amused me that women were told to take calcium when their bones were leaching calcium. When osteopenia or osteoporosis occurs following the menopause shouldn't one suspect a hormonal issue? A 1988 paper [1] reported that

So transfer is booked for Thursday. I can't help feel concerned that I will start my period before the transfer. I am on evorel patches. Progesterone pessaries and some estradiol tablets. Has anyone been on this combination and been OK.

Estradiol - side effects & weight gain?
I was wondering if anyone gets any side effects from the estrogen tablets? I am on double dose plus estrogen patches and I always seem to get palpitations, a blurry head/ headaches & a slight shortness of breath when I take them as well as feeling sickly unless it is just a coincidence? Also I am convinced

New study below [1]. The foxglove-related arrhythmia drugs (Digitoxin, Digoxin, Digitalis) don't crop up much in the PCa literature, although there was a post last year on: "

Symptoms get worse when trying to raise Levothyroxine dose... Anyone experience this?
Hello! My dose of Levothyroxine is 112mcg right now. I have been on this dose for 4 months. My Endocrinologist tried to raise me to 125mcg and after a week I felt so much worse. Urethral Stricture in women
Hi everyone. Are there any women here who have been diagnosed with urethral stricture? I understand it's quite rare in women but I'm wondering if I may have it. I'll try to keep it short but basically I've had a weird feeling in my urethra ever since I had a catheter giving birth to my son 25 years

Norethisterone anyone used it?
I've been stressed out to the max the past few months so periods was everywhere and now I'm later than usual which is going to clash with a well deserved family break for a week but I'm going to be on. I'm not on the pill was taken off it 4 years ago as they said it would interfere with my beta blockers

Medichecks results - not as expected - thyroid all seems in range
Hi everyone - I've received my Medichecks results back but was a little surprised that all my thyroid levels are in range. I had quite a long list of results which I'll post below (thyroid first) in the hopes that someone may share their thoughts with me. (edited to add - I have a fibromyalgia diagnosis

Norethindrone side effects?
I'm about to starting taking norethindrone for my endometriosis recovery (had the removal in March and have been avoiding taking the pill). I'm supposed to take it daily. I haven't done well with other birth control pills in the past, and though this one is different, I'm still worried about what side

Approved Treatment Options for HR+, HER2- Postmenopausal Women
All too often, patients who are diagnosed with MBC or whose cancer progresses are unaware of the treatment options available to them. Below is the list of FDA-approved treatments for HR+, HER2- postmenopausal women in the US. I finalized this list of treatments with a Medical Oncologist at Columbia

TBG, Reverse T3 & SHBG Issues - What Does This Mean?
Greetings and happy July all. I have Hashi's confirmed by ultrasound and blood antibodies. I am not being treated as my family doctor and encrinologist say my blood work does not justify it. I have every symptom of hypo, I mean every symptom, and I also believe I have fatigued adrenals big time. But,

The Cause of Prostate Cancer
With so many bonafide experts on this forum, is there a consensus yet on the cause of prostate cancer? And how those could seek to prevent it? I've known Prof. Edward Friedman for many years and used to speak to him often. His book is also excellent. I am also convinced that Estradiol is the culprit
