Hello everyone..

I’m quite new to this and don’t really know what to say!?

My journey is nowhere near as long as some of those that I’ve been reading about but I’ll tell you a bit about it.

So here goes...

We’ve been trying to conceive for around 2 years and I’m under the gynaecologist of the hospital in which I work at. I work on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which as you can imagine is a very hard job without the added pressure of trying for a baby.

My cycle hasn’t ever been properly regular and I put this down to being on the pill for 8/9 years, however over the last 4-6 months I’d started to have some sort of pattern. I then recently had a bleed for 33 days and had my Day 21 Bloods taken within this time and was told that my ovulation levels were low. I took a tablet called norethisterone to stop the bleeding as I had an internal scan booked (the results came back normal) after stopping the tablet AF arrived for 7 days and I’m now currently waiting for her to arrive again (Day 28 will be this Saturday).

I’m also waiting for a date for laparoscopy surgery. My OH has had tears and they were normal which I was so happy for him.

I feel a bit deflated at the minute as a baby is something that me and my OH so desperately want and I can’t seem to give him that.

Anyway.. that’s me in a nutshell, so sorry for the long post but just thought I’d write it whilst waiting for the day shift to arrive!

Wishing everyone a lovely day and lots of luck x

Hi Lucy92x. Welcome to the Forum, and I know you will gain loads of support from the others here as you go through your investigations and possible treatment. Just hoping that you don't have to wait too long for the laparoscopy, and some decision can be made as to what you need to happen to get that baby you both so want. Looking after all the tiny little ones you do look after is an amazing job, but lets look forward to the day when you can look after your own. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks Diane, it helps to hear off people who understand instead of those who say they do when really they don’t have a clue xxx

Welcome to the forum! It’s good there offering you a lap and I know it’s frustrating waiting but it really will be able to shed a lot of light for your consultant and what’s best for your course of treatment.

It’s understandable how your feeling, I often feel guilty that I can’t give my hubby a baby but we’re in this together and he’s definitely my rock through everything.

Everyone on here will be able to offer you support, it’s a brilliant place to be able to ask questions to x

Thank you for the reply!

I’m hoping I won’t have to wait much longer for my lap date 🤞🏼

My boyfriend is there for me too and I think he feels guilty that he can’t take away the upset for me.

X
