Awaiting hospital appt
Hi I've had a letter through the post saying I have a small AN and now awaiting specialist appointment at Salford. I've had symptoms of tinnitus my referral to ENT was my ask not GPs and I was surprised when the ENT consultant offered me an MRI to put my mind at ease. I was expecting it to come back

I thought I had been cured (!) but did come back around 6pm. 3 tablets also taken over that day. The following day T was around and it

My Last (IFN) Dose, my Fateful Decision One Year Ago
This is a long and not cheerful post, I understand if you don’t wish to wade fully or at all thru it. Sections are marked for easy reference. The thoughts are my opinions only. -- I wrote a few months ago on my botched flu vax anniversary. Today is the one year mark for my Last Dose of Besremi

Sleep aids
Hoping that people can pass on what they use to help sleep with T. Realise there are likely to be a number of replies through various posts, but be good to hear what works for people on this thread if possible. ..on another note are steroids likely to spike tinnitus? Just finishing a 5 day course prescribed

Glue ear leaking
Hi,I have glue ear in my left ear, for quite a while it has been oozing a thick fluid, I have had 2 courses of antibiotics over the past 6 or 7 months, it clears up but comes back. It has started again now, I have no pain and feel fine, my hearing is much better to, is this actually an infection or

Vertigo or dizziness?
Just reducing from 6.5mg Pred to 6mg. All seems well but yesterday evening, as I was sitting and reading a book, I started to feel 'out of it' so to speak. A bit dizzy and as though I needed to take a large breath as I had forgotten to breathe. This morning I felt dizzy when I got up in that I wanted

Roflumilast/Daxas
Dear all, I just wanted to let all of you with severe COPD that I was given the opportunity last year, March 2022 to start this medication, Roflimilast. I had to request the outpatient appointment to be able to bring the possibility of being prescribed it. HealthUnlocked It wasn’t even mentioned to me

b12 purchase
Hi I was treated by GP for low B12 for a year but once my levels were midway on “normal range” the injections were discontinued and I struggle to find ways to boost my intake orally. I have just purchased Hydroxocobalamin online but am unsure if the dosage is similar to that I was previously prescribed

Dizziness / Vertigo whilst on Pred
I’ve been suffering with nausea and dizziness whilst on Pred, whilst this has been awful it’s not as bad as the PMR pain I was experiencing. My GP and an a nurse have suggested this could be to do with the inner ear. I do suffer from travel sickness and avoid roller coasters / waltzers because they

Overactive Bladder Syndrome
Bit strange to post this here but bear with me please. It seems that many of the med's for OAB have a side effect of high heart rate. I've been diagnosed with Paroxysmal Tachycardia and am trying Tolterodine for my OAB (which increased my comfort level considerably) but have had to stop as my monthly

Any help on my issue would be great
Years and years ago I was very very over weight hmm 26 stone .. I used to have a lot of issues with jar and ear pain, first the doctor thought it might be a dental problem so I had to get my teeth investigated and it wasn't so I was put on medication for nerve damage with some investigations via ENT

How to deal with Tinnitus?
Dear community, I'm rather new with Tinnitus suffering since the end of August, first in one year, now both ears and it is unbearable. I also got a feeling of Fullness and Blocked of the right ear but MRI and specialist consultant were not useful to find the cause just yet so trying to investigate

hi all, creeping up to 1 year since my TBI. I stayed in hosp for 4 days before being discharged but despite this my TBI was classed as ‘severe’. I am lucky in the sense of I seem to have recovered really well. I don’t have any symptoms anymore apart from the odd BPPV spell which I fix with the epley.

Flare up after ear infection
I've had ear infection which the doctor gave me antibiotic spray for, thankfully ear pain had gone after a few days, but left with jaw pain, headaches and extreme exhaustion, as soon as I feel a little better I feel I have the energy to do a little bit, then I'm straight down again after the slightest

PMR... back on 20mg
Be interesting to see whether
ESR
comes down to normal at next blood
test
. Took my first dose Tuesday afternoon and when I woke up on Wednesday morning, I did not need the walking stick to propel myself out of bed!
