Hi Healthymetoday,I have often wondered this myself, I have suffered with both Tinnitus and Gerd for a number of years now. Have not asked GP specifically about any connection but understand that Gerd medication may be the cause. My Gerd started a long while before my Tinnitus so this may be true. The connection could also be, for myself anyway, that when my Gerd is extra troublesome it affects my mood, anxiety etc which in turn affects my Tinnitus, Both of these conditions do not really have a cure but Gerd medication, and sensible diet, help to relieve some symptoms so would be reluctant to stop taking this medication. As for Tinnitus it is finding a way to live with it, not always easy but live in hope of a miracle cure one day. Sorry this does not answer your question but just wanted to share my thoughts. All the best to you.
