Provenge after 2 rises in PSA ?
Hello All , I had a yearly visit with my Urologist . Nothing really bothering me , just to keep him in the loop . I have a MO at V.A. and a MO at U of Chicago . So during our chat he said their practice , Advanced Urology , their MO only does chemo . Other meds done by different docs . I found that strange

When a surgeon says he "got it all," it doesn't mean he did
It just means margins seem to be clear, pending pathology report, and the surgeon has no way of knowing if microscopic spread has occurred. Good article in the Washington Post. It may be behind a paywall, so I'll paste it here: "Itās a common scene: A patient recovering from cancer surgery speaks

Mastecomy tomorrow update and new question
I would like to thank all of you who wished me well with my surgery a couple of weeks ago. I was humbled by the sheer number of you sending me such caring, encouraging messages. What a gift to receive just prior to my surgery! My surgery went well and the healing is much less painful than my dislocated

Husband with Advanced Prostrate cancer.
My husband has been fighting adv prostrate cancer for 4 years now. I have never heard of this red meat as part of treatment. As we get older we are advised to avoid too much red meat in our diets at least thats what I have always been led to believe. We are in the UK. His treatment was 6 courses of Chemo

Should my dad continue docetaxel? He seems weakening so much.
My Dad with mHSPC (GS8 and PSA 50) and we found this in June 2022. ADT was first treated in July and Docetaxel was started in Aug. After the 5th injection of docetaxel, my dad at the age of 75 seems very weak. The PSA drop from initial 50 to 0.28 before the 5th docetaxel. The first 2 docetaxel seems

Will be seeing my Dr. on Monday but had CTs and bone scan today, just about 6 weeks after 6th & final chemo (docetaxel). First day I am feeling well after, Calquence
I have been on Calquence for 54 days. This has been a journey, for me. I am happy I took a leave from work for three months. I had several side effects, headaches, loud ringing in my ears, and I had severe muscle pain, and had a hard time walking. Some days I cried, but its is better to take a pill

Hello everybody and Merry Christmas
I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everybody. I haven't been on here much recently but I do have a very good excuse. Back on April 30th 2022, I went for what should have been a fairly routine scan at the Marsden. My back and ribs had begun aching a lot but I had convinced myself that it was due

Radiation or Chemo first?
Hi All, I am feeling particularly worn out emotionally as I do everything that I can for my father. It seems like I learn a lot only to get hit with a whole new group of questions. For this one just a simple question, I tried searching the forum but did not see any headline with this question. For
