Anyone else here have gastritis?
I get occasional bouts of gastritis....had an
endoscopy
a few years ago which revealed inflammation in the neck of my stomach. I have GERD and a large hiatus hernia. If I’m really anxious and stressed, it flares up. Things are really stressful just now and I’m hyper anxious.

Urgent advice please re; gastroscopy throat spray
Just rang the
endoscopy
unit and no one knows if the throat spray for my gastroscopy contains adrenaline or not and the sedation is not suitable re; transport etc; The last time I had this procedure was dry, without any medication and it's not something I'd like to go through again.

High Bilirubin on first blood test.
I had some reflux from stomach and a few days of itching, l had abdomen exam, sent for
endoscopy
which suggested mild reflux and put on Omeprazole for two weeks. Also blood test which came back with high Bilirubin levels, I have been asked to have another test 4 weeks after first.

He said you would not be referred to encologist without biopsy or
endoscopy
So he is going to get to the bottom of it and phone me on my mobile. So incredibly releaved but not getting out the longer box-sets just yet until we find out who referred me.We suspect a blunder!

Diagnosis today ....
He said that it is likely to be Non-alcoholic related type and on Monday I have an NHS
endoscopy
booked as following a trip to A&E for chest pains I had a bleed from somewhere after they gave me anti-coagulant for a suspected blot clot on lung. This was later dismissed following an MRI).

Monitoring Cirrhosis
Hi, I am sure I have read the answer to this previously, possibly from Katie but what are the guidelines for ongoing monitoring of cirrhosis in terms of frequency of US,
Endoscopy
and LFTs ? Every six months springs to mind but more frequent if poor MELD score and annually if low score ?

Symptoms
I've had a clear ultrasound and normal blood tests and im awaiting a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
. My GP thinks I may have post infectious IBS as ive recently had a nasty h. pylori infection, but im not convinced because im riddled with health anxiety and this has been going on quite a while.

Do I self treat now?
I've since had another
endoscopy
and the gastritis remains after 3 years. The results were 'reassuring', whatever that means. Apparently this consultant denies it being atrophic.

Slowly getting there...
Latest update - I had my
endoscopy
last Monday and all the results came back clear which is a relief but the doctors still don't know what caused the pain in the first place which probably means I will have to have some more tests...

Coeliac diagnosis confirmed
I'm very glad I started gf diet after
endoscopy
. Things are going well with that although it's amazing how your mindset about food changes. Six months ago if you'd have told me I'd have to give up gluten forever I wouldn't have known how to cope.

Feeling really ill gastritis no energy
I have been suffering from gastritis for years, and I’m petrified to have
endoscopy
so I’ve been trying to deal with this through diet only, I have got omperazole tabs, but after reading online that they can cause dementia I stopped taking them, whether this is true I don’t know, but it’s freaked me

I’ve been to multiple doctors and specialists and have had both an
endoscopy
and a colonoscopy (both came back perfect). Other symptoms I have include severe bloating, unpredictable bowel movements, fatigue, increasingly painful period pains and constant burping.
