I had F2 fibrosis of liver ..I got an ARFI usg based elastography which came normal with no abnormalities ...I had made great lifestyle modifications ...Is ARFI accurate in diagnosis of fibrosis ? My new hepatologist does not want me to go for further test. I have been diagnosed f2 by fibroscan an year ago ....I am extremely confused about my result ...

What were your LFT's doing when you got the F2 score on Fibroscan? Was fibroscan the only means of saying you had F2 fibrosis. I ask because if you had elevated LFT's at the time of the fibroscan then what the machine might have picked up was liver inflammation.
Fibroscan is notorious for giving false high readings when liver inflammation is ongoing - people on here have been told they have F4 fibrosis (cirrhosis) based on fibroscan when their LFT' (AFT/ALT have been massively elevated) when the LFT's have normalised - hey presto no fibrosis at all. Fibroscan alone is a useless tool in diagnosing liver health, it needs to be part of a series of tests.
If you've no ongoing liver inflammation then I would expect your liver has improved, if you've also made significant lifestyle changes your liver could have improved.
I don't know enough about the ARFI scan to comment on it's accuracy but with all normal results now it sounds good.
The F2 could have been correct if you had no ongoing inflammation, however, you say you have made significant lifestyle changes so it's highly likely your liver has begun the healing process - liver damage all the way the F3 is reversible if the cause of any damage is stopped. Even cirrhosis is reversible to some degree too.
Keep up the good work, maybe your pain twinges are nothing to do with your liver.
