Endoscopy Fears
So I’ve been dealing with acid reflux that hasn’t been responding well to medications like nexium and Prevacid so today I’ve been scheduled for an endoscopy with a biopsy at the end of the month and I’m terrified. Since I will be knocked out for the procedure I have to fast and usually when I am nervous

Possible to self refer for a private endoscopy?
My coeliac test came back negative but I'd like to see if there is something else going on such as damage from gluten etc. Does anyone know if and how I can self refer for a private scan of my gut etc?

Unidentifed pain in lower right abdomen
I get a recurring pain lower right abdomen. It's not always quite the same, but it's always around the same place. This has been happening from time to time for the last 40+ years, so it's not exactly new :-) It's similar to the pain that got me diagnosed with Spastic Colon as a teenager, but that

Ectopic beats.
I had an endoscopy on Wednesday. My ectopics, which had almost stopped except for the occasional one, have returned with a vengence. I believe the endoscopy has caused this. I am posting to ask if anyone has an opinion on this please.

What to do
Diagnosed a year ago with cirrhosis caused from NASH. I never have drank. I am overweight. My last visit to hepatologist was depressing after she answered some questions for me. It was my last visit to her until I can get insurance again as I just lost mine after losing my job after 13 years due to computer

Autoimmune gastritis/PA
Hi everyone, Im wondering if anyone could give me any advice please. I had an endoscopy yesterday, it revealed multiple ulcers and oesophagitis. I’ve been put on omeprazole for 8 wks then a repeat endoscopy to see if any improvement. I thought omeprazole inhibits acid in the stomach but I already

Any ideas?
Can anyone advise me on where to go next with all this as my GP doesn't really seem to know. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around 6 years ago. My blood results always seem to come back in the "normal range" or "slightly out of range" for a number of things. Recently through a lot of pushing I've

Treating heart disease naturally and weaning off BP meds
Hi Since my Nstemi MI last October, I am following a plant based whole food diet and have lost a lot of weight and my blood pressure sometimes gets really low and I am getting shortness of breath which feels more like diaphragm isn't expanding properly. I've seen cardio the other week and had an echo

How to cope with an ongoing productive cough
I took seretide 500 for 8 years now, only to be told I should come off it, as this particular inhaler is predominantly for ASTHMA which I do not suffer from. Also, my spirometry was normal - so I do not have COPD which was the original diagnosis 8 years ago!!!!!!! It is now thought I have bronchiectasis
