Had a really bad week....lots of diarrhoea. The only thing I have changed it.

Fibre intake. Trying to firm up stool but appears to have done the opposite. Brown bread and breakfast cereal with no milk

Also changed to volvic touch of fruit water.

I feel run down and exhausted.

Help

I found increasing my fibre with bran flakes and brown bread had the same effect as you, so I stopped taking them. I now have a mental note never to eat them again.

Thanks for writing back. I was really worried. Had loads of blood tests plus ultra sound and all fine. I started the fibre on Saturday and been in constant diarrhea and bloating....God knows why I keep eating it.....I have to stop

I can’t eat fibre either or I’ll have diarrhea! The doctor gave me Metamucil once and I thought I was going to die had such severe diarrhea! I don’t think there are many doctors out there who understand IBS. I eat eat everything white, like bread, rice, pasta, plain cereal
