Omeprazole/Lansoprazole on methotrexate
Hi,I'm on 20mg mtx and 200mg hydroxy. I've been having some difficulties swallowing tablets the last 6 months or so plus acid reflux/ dyspepsia discomfort at night so saw GP recently. I've had an endoscopy today and have got a telephone call with said GP on Tuesday, although I doubt he'll have any results

Examining the Pathology of the Parietal cells
Just read from a post by Rexz , that in the U.S.A. a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia can be confirmed by examining the pathology of the parietal cells .( by endoscopic ultra-sound ) This seems an excellent method for confirming such a serious condition as P.A.Which can lead to serious health problems

Feel in limbo
I was diagnosed with NAFLD and cirrhosis early this year. Told I would need a Dexta scan and Endoscopy together with an Ultra sound before my next virtual appointment in Sept. I had the Dexta scan in April(not had any results), ultra sound early Sept(not had any results) no appointment for Endoscopy

Just had My Monthly Injection of Firmagon Monthly Labs PSA is Up <0.06 to 0.09
That’s pretty modest. I’m assuming I will wait till next month to see if it goes down. Kind of stressed with this new diverticulitis and blood bowel thing AND Moving. Got results of psa after I saw My Medical Oncologist so haven’t discussed modest jump. Even with bleeding from rectum the gastroenterologist

Hi Everyone Quick update ..... Some of you may remember me posting a few times about my partner Nick who has cirrhosis. He had an MRI scan a couple of weeks ago because they had seen lesion on his left lobe on an ultrasound scan. This lesion it turns out is cancer. Stage 1 so very early but still

pain under ribs
I have been now been told my discomfort is ibs constipation and not hiatus hernia or acid reflux. Symptoms started 8 years ago and steadily deteriorated so I’m now finding it difficult to eat/drink. Domperidone did help (half tab not every day) but GE said not to take it as advice re impact on heart

Please someone reassure me that this is another IBS flare up
Last year I went through a bad phase with my bowels, had numerous doctor visits and blood/stool tests. The doctor said IBS again due to negative results and also based on my previous history of negative tests along with normal sigmoidoscopy. I've been having sporadic bad IBS flares which appear different

Ascites Long Term
Hello All, I've had Ascites now for eighteen months. At first I confused the symptoms with a hernia that I had which has since been repaired. After a visit to my GP, he told me I had IBS and gave me some pills to alleviate that. Two weeks later I was back at the GP's. This time he examined me and said

hi to those of you that follow me on here and those who don’t just wanted to do a quick update. So I saw Transplant consultant last month and he said I probably won’t live 5 years without a transplant. I went back yesterday as follow up as they are now seeing me monthly, and we’ll I was totally surprised

I am not sure if I have IBS?
There are some symptoms that completely matches with IBS, like- abdominal pain, extreme flatulence, constipation, stomach noises, always having the urge to move bowels. But doctors never could diagnose anything, told me that the body would cure itself since I'm young. I have done ultrasonography, endoscopy

Struggling with life
I am an absolute idiot. I have just got out from hospital last Tuesday following a medical detox. My wife has left me and I don't know what to do. I lasted until yesterday and unfortunately had a couple of cans last night and tonight to numb the pain I am feeling. I feel the heavy guilt, the voice in

soft, sticky stool which is hard to pass - any advice?
I feel embarrassed describing my poop but am at the end of my rope with my gut issues. I’ve had IBS for 25 years but the last 5 years have been non-stop, daily issues. Over the last 4 years I have had endless tests. A colonoscopy and gastroscope in 2019 which was clear, a clear ct scan later that year

Anagrelide in UK and in the USA😱
My long suffering wife has been taking Anagrelide and a little hydroxycarbamide for five years now. During these five years she has endured numerous upper GI bleeds, and endoscopies, which have never found the source of the bleeds. More recently, and only since her Anagrelide has been reduced from 21

Endoscope..functional dyspepsia and Prilosec
Finally had endoscope which shows not much of anything that one takes Prilosec for....been taking for well over a year....I think it is actually causing my stomach issues. Anyone else had this experience? Will be meeting with GI and want to get off of this. Looking for input from those with similar experience

is this fibro?!
Hi everyone. I’ve ended up here in my 4 month search to try and find out what is wrong with me. I would greatly appreciate your advice! Doctors have tried to palm it off as anxiety and make me feel like a hypochondriac but there’s something wrong and I can’t figure out what it is. They want me to try
