4 months post 1st Stage of Hybrid Ablation.

I suffer from permanent AF with resting HB at 80 ish and under load, anything up to 175..

I had surgical ablation on 9 December 14 & within 49hours back in AF and I was told that this would probably be the case until the wounds & Scarring healed. I have been unable to exercise with any real effort due to shortness of breath on inclines and sweating profusely. But about 10 days ago , having walked to work ( about 1 mile), I felt quite good, and equally after the walk home (slightly down hill).

The following day I decided that I would put on my heart monitor and go for a brisk walk around the block, about 2 miles. My monitor registered 100 HB at the start and was very steady.On the flat and downhill sections I decided to have a bit of a jog between lamp posts until I got home. My monitor had only risen to 125 HB whereas before it would have gone up to way beyond 150. But I felt reasonable. And have done this exercise a couple of more times with similar results IE, 100 at start and 125 at the end and very slow to return to resting beat of approximately 100. Being curious and the whole point often this entry, I rang the Arythmia support team at the hospital where I had part 1.of the Hybrid Ablation. I explained the above to him and he told me that it could be " flappy fibrillation " .. Has anyone similar or know anything about it? He also informed me that I was on the list to have part 2 , Catheter Ablation at the end of May........they told me originally that this would have been 6 to 8 weeks are part 1, but delayed due to the hospital being on Black a Alert due to bed blocking??
