Been seeing a private online therapist for most of 6 1/2 years, for CBT with ERP, also some elements of compassion focussed therapy, ACT and
EMDR
. Also a psychologist through IAPT (lovely but admitted on first session she was out of her depth with me), then specialist service at Springfield.

EMDR Therapy
Has anyone tried
EMDR
to help trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD? If so, how was your experience? I'm meeting with an
EMDR
therapist next week.

Cold Laser and EMDR!
At almost the exact same time I started
EMDR
treatments. Look at my previous post about it. For 2.75 years I was consumed with PD. It was terrible!! My form of PD must be very tied to emotions. Everyone who as been dx with PD could use
EMDR
. It’s serious trauma!

About a month ago I started
EMDR
. I was very skeptical. It took a couple of weeks but it’s working. PD has not limited anything I can do right now, nothing! I would blow it completely out of proportion.
EMDR
helps to keep thing in perspective. It’s based on REM sleep.

Finding the right housing solution for ADHD
I also just finished
EMDR
therapy which was helpful for my PTSD. My biggest problem now is finding the way to generate enough income to be fully independent . I often lack motivation and self-control and have trouble with self care (cleaning, doing laundry and etc.).

Would you recommend EMDR therapy?
I haven’t gone to therapy in awhile. I believe I’ve only tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I’d love to hear from anyone on your experience or recommendations.

Do I have it?
I’ve tried
EMDR
but I still can’t access anything further than what my brain has allowed me to remember. It’s just a big wall in my way.

Name as a Trigger
I’ve worked through a lot of my trauma, especially with
emdr
, but there are certain things related to my trauma that just throw me into a panic attack even years later. Unfortunately, one of those things is a name, and that name happens to be very popular where i live.

I want to recommend EMDR and Prazosin for PTSD
ESPECIALLY
EMDR
, it even helped me with my fear of heights and now I can ride roller coasters! Prazosin is an RX for flashbacks.

A long journey, getting too tired..
I'm trying
EMDR
but it doesn't seem to help so far, I've been in CBT in/out since I was 14, this last run is 4 years going.. but I feel like I haven't really improved. Meds help until they don't anymore. I've tried hypnotherapy, not much there.

EMDR Experiences?
Postitive or negative? Did it help or hurt? I am new to this community but trying to find some answers about how I should proceed. I started with a bad practitioner who did not set it up properly/could not see me as frequently as I needed. I finally found someone who can see me twice per week but I am

Hi everyone New here but I just wanted to share my experience of treatment with
EMDR
for anyone considering it or potentially struggling with it. I have been having
EMDR
since October and I won't lie, it is draining and it takes a lot of work.

Trigger Warning: Living with suicidal ideation
I have a wonderful therapist who I am doing
emdr
with, I take meds, etc.....yet I sometimes fear that someday I will just have had enough and will want to quit. I also live with a horrible autoimmune disease that has progressed.

Emdr success stories .... what is the best thing it has done for you?
Hi...for anyone who has successfully done
Emdr
or who is doing it now, what would you say the best thing that has done for you is? I know it does not erase memories but how has it helped you move on and live life with them? I am still in the process. UThanks.

"I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem."
After many months of therapy and
EMDR
therapy, I started to make some progress. During sessions, I learned a lot about narcissists and gaslighting. I learned that the best way to deal with this behavior is to disengage entirely; otherwise, the behavior will continue.

What is the saddest part of depression for you?
Medication,
emdr
therapy, etc. Saddest part is I am in my 60’s and was never like this until 3 years ago when I suffered trauma, Best part is I think I have found one medicine combo that works....just need to give it time to work....

Does anyone here have an obsession with words?
I am currently receiving
emdr
therapy, it has helped a little but it cannot destroy the word. What do you think about tms or ect treatments? or do you think surgery will work?
