I will eat my diploma
We did
EMDR
i just felt hungry and sleepy maybe because i was hungry and sleepy. Now im hungry, sleepy and angry. And don't hit me with the "why you go to her" and "this isn't proffesional". Apparently Bulgaria has worse pscychologists than Africa.

Introduction
I saw some breakthrough with
EMDR
but I will never be well again. I think right now it's all about trying to find some happiness and motivation to keep on going through the motions of life. I have 5 children who need me and I would really like to be here long enough to meet all of my grandchildren.

Some advice in choosing the best blood tests to go for, please, as am becoming a bit bogged-down with choices!
.😭💔 But, I hasten to add, I finally managed to secure
EMDR
in 2018 (for anyone interested: https://www.psychotherapy.net/interview/bessel-van-der-kolk-trauma ) and this has been successful, though my stress levels still need very careful managing and pacing.

Unhappy Anniversary - EMDR - is it worth the wait?
Has anyone done
EMDR
and is it worth waiting for, and can anyone shed any light on why it seems to be so difficult to persuade a therapist to actually get on and start with it?

Help! Depression interrupted my parenting.. I am so so sad.
I know I did a really good job.. considering my parents were not healthy examples..when my daughter was 12 I tried
EMDR
trauma therapy. I found it beneficial however it brought out some latent anger in me and a lot of traumatic memories as you can imagine.

Need help/support/advice for healing relationships with adult children and dealing with the guilt of unintentional damage done to them by me
I’ve talked to my therapist about it many times and did an
EMDR
session last week about the guilt I feel from the damage I did. It hasn’t really helped yet. We’re supposed to keep working on it but I just needed to talk to this group about it.

Is there such a thing as a union/ government organization for people with mental disorders?
I cant get a therapist in my area that is qualified to give advice or treatment (
EMDR
, Somatic Experiencing, Executive Functioning coaching) without spending like 175$ per session and praying i get an f'n claim consideration to cover at most 40% of the cost.

I have found CBT and
EMDR
helpful along with a therapist and I understand Acceptance of it is KEY! But that isn't always easy to deal with.

I'm 22, Male with no previous medical conditions apart from moderate shy bladder syndrome, yet this pain is so bad its ruined my life.
With my therapist I do
EMDR
on the trauma of my trip that started this all off and work on trying to reduce stress and convince myself that I’m not going to be like this forever.

Accessing Neuropsychology and trauma therapy
So we had a neuropsychology report prepared for the criminal case injuries claim which recommends he needs
EMDR
trauma therapy for PTSD followed by further neuropsychology before he can consider returning to work.

Treatment options
Been seeing a private online therapist for most of 6 1/2 years, for CBT with ERP, also some elements of compassion focussed therapy, ACT and
EMDR
. Also a psychologist through IAPT (lovely but admitted on first session she was out of her depth with me), then specialist service at Springfield.

Cold Laser and EMDR!
At almost the exact same time I started
EMDR
treatments. Look at my previous post about it. For 2.75 years I was consumed with PD. It was terrible!! My form of PD must be very tied to emotions. Everyone who as been dx with PD could use
EMDR
. It’s serious trauma!

EMDR Therapy
About a month ago I started
EMDR
. I was very skeptical. It took a couple of weeks but it’s working. PD has not limited anything I can do right now, nothing! I would blow it completely out of proportion.
EMDR
helps to keep thing in perspective. It’s based on REM sleep.

Finding the right housing solution for ADHD
I also just finished
EMDR
therapy which was helpful for my PTSD. My biggest problem now is finding the way to generate enough income to be fully independent . I often lack motivation and self-control and have trouble with self care (cleaning, doing laundry and etc.).

Would you recommend EMDR therapy?
I haven’t gone to therapy in awhile. I believe I’ve only tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I’d love to hear from anyone on your experience or recommendations.
