Coming off beta blockers
I was put on beta blockers in August 2016. I started on 2.5mg and went down to 1.25mg. I can't remember when my dose was lowered, but that probably happened in June 2017. I have been on Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) since my ablation in January 2017 and remain on that but nothing else. I stopped taking beta

Waiting for a diagnosis
I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago that was caused by an
embolism
. A cardiologist determined that I have a very small opening in the septum between the atria of my heart - it's a birth defect. He believes I had a clot that slipped through there. Anyone else had this happen?

My running story - APScotland
Had a heap of serious health issues - Lyme disease, pulmonary
embolism
, cancer x 2, Lyme again, over the past 5 years, so spent too much time in hospital, lost all my strength, had terrible lyme arthritis, particularly in my knees.

Chronic pulmonary embolisms
Hi my PE at Christmas has left me with a chronic pulmonary

UPDATE ON MY SISTER’S NC STAGE 4
She had an appointment today with her pulmonologist and apparently now she has a pulmonary
embolism
which they are telling us that it can be controlled at home with injections. I thought that this type of condition was supposed to be very dangerous.

Pleural effusion with Stage 4 NSCLC
My 70 year old mom has Stage 4 NSCLC with mets to spine and lymph nodes. If she has a pleural effusion and had 130 cc’s of fluid removed today, does that necessarily mean it’s a malignant pleural effusion? I know we have to wait for them to test the fluid, but is it possible that there won’t be cancer

Has anyone seen the site online regarding APS and there are all types off information given by doctors etc.
I came across this site which covered APS and the top doctors that was involved with this site. One of the topics that was discussed was the use of blood thinners (only 2 of them was mentioned), Heprin and Wafarin. NO riveroxoban, no Fragmin, and what scared me the most was the fact that the Doctors

Interestingly, acute lung clot (pulmonary
embolism
) often occurred when the arriving passenger was between the plane and terminus – perhaps suggesting that this was when, for example, a lower limb clot dislodged. 2.

Tramadol and Rivaroxaban
Does anyone know if it’s safe to take tramadol when on rivaroxaban? I was prescribed tramadol after my first hip replacement but not sure if I was on warfarin at the time.

New to rivaroxaban feel lousy
Was diagnosed with a PE on Monday and the hospital put me straight away on Rivaroxban. They mentioned how they were trialling antidotes. But I feel lousy on this drug. Feel very faint and weak, I will be going to my GP on Monday to switch to warfarin as I never felt like this whilst on warfarin after
