I am new here! So glad to have found a support system!! I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago that was caused by an embolism. A cardiologist determined that I have a very small opening in the septum between the atria of my heart - it's a birth defect. He believes I had a clot that slipped through there. Anyone else had this happen? I'm waiting to see another specialist to determine whether I will need heart surgery to close the opening.
Thanks!!
