Tramadol and Rivaroxaban

Does anyone know if it’s safe to take tramadol when on rivaroxaban? I was prescribed tramadol after my first hip replacement but not sure if I was on warfarin at the time.

i was offered tramadol in hospital recently after surgery and am on rivaoxaban. However while in hospital I was having an anti coagulant injection of some kind daily instead of rivaoxaban.

Just last week when back in hospital I was offered tramadol again while now back on rivaoxaban,. I am very careful about what I take in case I have reactions with my ongoing drugs.

I would check again with my medics but then I always want confirmation rather than just take a doctors word for it, but that's just me.

Thank you, I feel exactly the same. Experience has taught me this.

Suggest you ask your pharmacist to be on the safe side. Always nervous about suggesting Google, but it can be useful for checking interaction between drugs......

I had bursitis in my hip doc gave me tramadol only took one heart had a fit must never take it again

If you look at possible side effects of tramadol it states can cause heart arrhythmia. So be careful taking it.
