Loss of taste
In Nov of 16 I had a bilateral saddle pulmonary
embolism
I survived by the grace of God only. I was at my hospital when that hit me another gift from God. Woke up a couple days later in icu. I take a shot daily to keep my blood thin. Not bad.

End of Trial
I had been on the LOGS trial for recurrent low grade serous cancer for the past 12 months. It has been keeping the cancer mostly stable but not without some complications. The medication had been having an adverse effect on my heart output. I had been through two dose reductions but sadly my heart function

Pulmonary Embolisms and HRT
I was diagnosed with multiple bilateral PE 4 weeks ago and I am currently taking Wafarin but my INR is still up and down, which we are working on. However the thing that is really stressing me out is I have been told to stop my HRT. I know I should be grateful I am alive and well, but I am dreading

Eliquis & Osteoarthritis pain
I'm on Eliquis for 10 weeks due to pulmonary
embolism
. Will likely be on it for life. My long time osteoarthritis is making life miserable due to taking away Advil or Aleve. Tylenol does nothing! Can I take MSM? Or anything else??

Ablation yesterday! So far, so good.....
Told the registrar who immedaitely arranged for an xray to check for an
embolism
. This came back clear and the consensus is that the combination of heparin and rivaroxaban during the procedure was the root cause. Prescribed ranitidine to soothe stomach acid and, hopefully, settle the problem.

1 week post ablation and the flu
Sitting here in the ER waiting on a CT Scan to make sure I don't have a pulmonary
embolism
, but I got a lovely positive flu test. So now I am quite frightened of how hard this is going to be on my heart while it heals. Anyone else have the flu post ablation? Update: I do have a very small PE.

Neal Snyder's journey
Thank you so much for responding. I don’t know much about the forum other than tidbits that Neal had told me about. I don’t know how to post to it and don’t know if I can find his login or password. If you want to post about his passing, please do so. Yes, Neal and I have one son and he is very aware

Anyone tried this??
High in pyrazine and the enzyme nattokinase, blood thinners that can prevent thrombosis (blot clot formations) by essentially devouring arterial plaque, natto significantly reduces the risk of suffering a pulmonary
embolism
(arterial blockage) that could lead to a heart attack or stroke.

Side effects from Eliquis
Has any one experienced a pulmonary
embolism
and been put on Eliquis and had nausea ? Does lowering the Ibrance dose improve your WBC ? I am getting very discouraged after not being able to enjoy a meal after 6 months and having no energy.

My experience and a couple of questions
Before this operation, I had a C.T. angiogram and a CAT scan and this is what was discovered: a) a massive pulmonary
embolism
(over 50% of my lungs are affected) b) a huge mass of fibroids in my womb (the tumor is 18 centimetres wide).

What's wrong with me?
I'm really worried that the clots are going to get to my lungs and cause a pulmonary
embolism
, or my brain and cause some sort of aneurism. Regardless of how convinced I am of having these clots, I have no urgency to phone for an ambulance.

Lung function tests
Hi All I've been having lung function tests at the hospital, I thought, because of my lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis & emphysema. I've done various breaths blowing & inhaling into a spirometry machine. The last one I had to go into a cubicle & air was cut off for 10 seconds. I haven't been on a running
