Ive Developed a blood clot post surgery. The doc who told me said that the surgeons should have injected me with blood thinners straight after surgery but they didnt. Is this a case to escalate or do i accept that i knnew the risks? Please help anyone im devastated and its set me back mentally and physically big time :(((

I wasn't given any either but I did have stockings on, they do tell you though before your surgery that blood clots are a possible risk I'm afraid

True. I'm going to request full notes of my surgery and post surgery and then at least it's off my mind and ive ruled out any negligience on their part. Thanks for replying.

Its a risk with any surgery unfortunately. If it was mentioned to you before the operation then there is no negligence Im afraid. There are risks with everything.

I hope you get over it soon xx

Thankyou, the reason im most upset is because it has delayed my fertility plans again and the surgery was to help with that element of endo. Ironic x
