New here-going to MS clinic this week
My Qs: anyone here diagnosed with normal lumbar puncture? Or misdiagnosed with migraine before MS diagnosis? This seems like a lovely community. I'm just going to jump in as I have my first MS clinic appt this week. I have seen two neurologists that say my mri lesions are migraine but my GP said no way

Treatment of Systemic Onset JIA with Actemra (Tocilizumab)
My 2 year old Son was diagnosed with Systemic onset JIA on in June 2017. Though the symptoms started few days before diagnosis, pediatric rheumatologist started treatment of SoJIA after ruling out septic arthritis. NSAID - 2 weeks Predinsolone - 4 weeks ( 2mg/kg/day) - Now in tapering

Hello Everyone! I had been diagnosed with RRMS in 2009. Found out this past Thurs. it was wrong, actually PPMS. All these years of unnecessary DMT's, awful side effects and far too many infusions of Solumedrol. Be brave, power forward and as patients NEVER stop questioning your healthcare providers!

Hello all!!!!! Today I start 3 freaking days of steroids!!!! I hate steroids! They totally mess with my diabetes! The next 6 days of my blood sugars are going to suck!!!! No carbs for me. Grrrrrrrr. So if you all could say a prayer I get ahead of the high sugars and exhaustion to follow. I would be most

2nd half-dose Ocrevus Infusion Completed
As many of you following Ocrevus news and experiences are aware, the first 600 mg. dose of Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) is divided into two half-doses spaced two weeks apart. I posted earlier about my first infusion ("Ocrevus - Tomorrow's the Day"), and yesterday I completed the second infusion installment.

Omg feel worse than when I smoked
Asthmatic and finally packed in the cigs on the 29th June so 8 days ago . I've been the docs today as I'm really struggling to breathe normally . She was a lovely doc but said she didn't know what to suggest and asked me what I thought ๐๐ we settled on prednisolone as I'm literally so breathless.

Just ended day 3 of Solumedrol
I hated to do it, but I've spent the last 3 days getting IV steroids from Home Health Care. The exacerbation hadn't gotten too bad yet, but it was spreading and the neuro wanted to nit it in the bud. The worst part of the steroids for me is the sleep disturbance. I've been up and down at night, sleeping

synthetic corticosteroid
Solumedrol IV treatment- people are willing to use a synthetic corticosteroid when turmeric or frankincense oil or extreme high doses of Vitamin D3 can help, curious as to the why's?

Acupoints Massage Therapy For PPMS
For years I tried to reach out for PPMS patients like me. Since 1995, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and IBS. In year 2000, I was confirmed with Spinal Cord MS. Injections and oral medications (except Elavil) did not slow down my progression. In 2011, I was in the hospital and came home in wheelchair

This will get the star for brainfog for sure.
If it wasn't true, it might even be funny. ๐ But when I share these things it helps me realize they are not as desperate as it feels. As you know, I've been on the steroids for about 14 mos. I take methylprednilosone which is not prednisone proper, but it is medrol, or solumedrol.... same kind of side

Length of relapse
I'm starting to get a little concerned about the relapse that I am currently having. Although I have seen slight improvement, and most of my energy has returned, I'm still not back to my "normal". It has been close to a month when my symptoms first started, and two weeks since I've been off solumedrol

Solumedrol
I am so thankful for the support I am feeling from everyone on here. I have been in the hospital for about 4 days on a solumedrol iv. I am still having numbness, tingling, weakness in the legs. I know everyone is different, but if anyone is willing to share their experiences with this, I would greatly

Update on So sick and tired.
I saw my MS Dr on Monday. I absolutely love my Dr. He is so kind and caring, honest and thorough. I just don't like the drive, 47 miles each way. I picked up all my MRI's I have had since the summer. He looked at all of them. He was totally shocked with how fast the progression is. Up until recently,

So sick and tired
I am sorry I haven't been on in a while. I have been in either the hospital or nursing home/rehabs mor than I can count since early summer. I live in a small rural community and our local hospital does not have a neuro dept. Everytime something goes wrong they pagkage me up and send me to Hartford Hospital
