Solumedrol IV treatment- people are willing to use a synthetic corticosteroid when turmeric or frankincense oil or extreme high doses of Vitamin D3 can help, curious as to the why's?

Do those things work as quickly as the Solumedrol? If not then damage is being done in the time it takes the others to work. Only asking because I do not know.

I would much prefer to use those (and others that stop inflammation) but I really cannot afford to wait around while I try those now. For the 20 or so years that my MS had kind of gone into hiding that was fine but now that it seems to want to go faster I have to think of what it may effect next.

I have never had to take Solumedrol IV, I have only taken Prednisone tablets, recently, shots of steroids years ago.

I really hate the steroids but I will do whatever it takes to keep me up and walking.

Wow Morllyn , you are so lucky to have had MS all these years and never had to take Solumedrol. I've been on it almost annually over the last 12 years and now I have osteoporosis. But, I'm still walking and bike riding. All of these meds seem to have a trade off.

They did not use it during the 70's and early 80's when I had my worst problems (until last Sept.). At least I was never told about Solumedrol back then.
