Tsh close to zero but t3 and t4 normal on meds?
Hi there, My doctor added t3 about a month ago since my free t3 had been consistently low for over a year. She also lowered my synthroid. I went from about 100mcg synthroid daily to 85 mcg synthroid and 10mcg t3 (split into two doses of 5). Finally have more energy and less shortness of breath when exercising

Best vegan cheese in taste test. 🧀
Hello everyone, One hot topic amongst the plant based community is cheese, so here’s the BBC Good food guide to best vegan cheese taste test. Interestingly scientists are working on using plant prolamines to enhance the taste and texture of vegan meat and cheese products. All plants have a prolamin

As posted , do I recall someone else on here with trouble taking it ? I was taking k2 separately each day . I seemed to experience some nausea and terrible fatigue . This settles if left off , probably need to test again sometime to settle my query . Don’t fancy trying yet though . I’ve had

Brain Fog
Hi I'm new here, though I've posted on the Thyroid Forum before. I'm a 51 year old male. In 2014 I went on a low carb high fat diet and it affected my thyroid function, causing low energy and brain fog. I self-medicated with dessicated thyroid for four or five years without any relief of symptoms - I

Normal ALP at time of Diagnosis
Hello. I have had PBC for just over 3 years. I have always had a very normal ALP. I've read that one of the hallmarks of PBC is an elevated ALP. I have positive AMA and other elevated liver enzymes, now normal with urso. Can you explain why my ALP is normal? What does that indicate?

Where do I start to check that I am receiving the correct treatment for my 'hypothyroidism' ?
Hi In June 2020 I was eventually diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia. With the help and support from PAS, B12d.org and this forum I have managed to find a treatment plan that seems to be helping. At times I became so overwhelmed trying to process all the information whilst also trying to deal with

Gadgets
I think this is all the gadgets I have acquired since I cut back on carbohydrates. My favourite and the most used is the mortar and pestle (the world's original gadget?). I use it almost every day, and sometimes stroke it when I walk past. It's beautiful. The most essential is the hand blender

'Interesting' Endo Appointment Yesterday!!
So, my much awaited endocrinologist appointment finally came yesterday. I took my husband with me, as he has a far more science based brain than me, and can remember all the articles I've given him to read (I read and can't seem to retain information these days. Anyway, I had printed out all my thyroid

I’m new here amd confused!
I was diagnosed type2 diabetes last September and advised to reduce carbs. I’ve bought an Apple Watch and try to use my fitness pal to help. I’ve steadily increased my walking to 10000 steps daily and my calorie intake to around 12,00 , I am 4’11.5 inches . The low carb diets seems to be high fat and

Fibro, Buprenorphine Patches and CBD Oil
Is there anyone that can give me any good advice. Over a good many years I was on a cocktail of pain medications. In the last couple I have managed to take myself off the pills but still remain on the Buprenorphine patch and anti-depressants. Because of being unsure if the patch was actually working

A bit of (topical) fun, What’s your favourite LCHF menu…..
So you can have a starter, main course and a pudding (if you eat pudding… or another savoury course if you don’t - but something you think would lend itself to eating after dinner). What are your favourite dishes, be specific, so don’t say cheese board, list the varieties of cheese please and say what

TEST results from Gallbladder.
I had a Hipa test for gallbladder squeeze and it showed I have 18% function. Supposed to have 40-100%... BUT I now am wondering if anyone did a "cleanse" for sludge etc. I have not had an ultrasound for stones but in 2019 I did and there were none. No more attacks. and I am hoping to keep it that way

Fatty liver and gallstone 😳
Hi everyone I hope someone can give me some helpful advice as I am not getting it from my doctor or the hospital. I had a scan on my stomach as I was feeling nauseous every time I eaten anything so they found I had a fatty liver and a gallstone stuck at the top of my gallbladder but the surgeon said
