Long QT anyone?
Hello folks, Anyone here familiar with Prolonged QT? Around 2016/17 I was informed by my doctor that I was showing signs of Prolonged QT and it was believed this was due to the antidepressants I was taking at the time so I came off them. My QT went back down after I finished getting the drug out

I had a tour of the ER a couple of weeks ago. I went in with a headache, and shortness of breath, and the tip of my fingernails turned deep blue/purple. After 6 hours and multiple tests including, complete blood work, CT scan, EKG, chest x-ray. The result stated that nothing was found. My primary

Constant PVCs
Hi, I've had PVCs for 10 years, and take daily Flecainide and Verapamil. All was fine until a month ago when I was in Hospital with Periorbital Cellulitis, following weeks with a virus, which was painful and stressful. While on Hospital , my PVCs got much worse, and have carried on that way since (that

Advice
Hi, I'm after a little advice. I recently had a 5 day ecg and the consultant sent me a letter just stating he 'thinks' everything looks satisfactory. It goes on to state the my left ventricular systolic function reading was normal but low and that it doesn't 'necessarily' mean there's a problem.I'm

Cardiologist being dismissive
Hi, I just wondered if anyone else could offer any advice/or has had similar experiences? I have been getting breathlessness at night, chest pain (sometimes severe) and palpitations for about 2 years. I do also have a diagnosis of generalised anxiety disorder, which I have had for many years, but this

Amiriodone & NDT update
So I was put on Amiodarone post heart surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. I thought it was a three week course but it's not. Now on 200mg per day for the next few months . And yes I think it's messing my thyroid hormones up. I did protest over taking it...due to its high iodine content and contrary indications.

12 hours urgent treatment centre = Orthostatic hypotension,
after two recent new episodes of crawling around the house on my hands and knees being unable to stand upright I decided to ring the surgery. No telephone appointment or f2f available so called 111 in desperation. They called back within 4 hours, took lots of detail and said they would report to my

appointment update
Well left for my appointment with a HR of 111. ECG hospital HR 174, BP 167/132.- full blown AF. Deposited in chair and wheeled to the consultant. My husband offered to push as the poor nurse wasn’t strong enough ( I only weigh 67kg ). If the resource was available I would have been kept in hospital

High Coronary Calcium Score
I am a slim, generally fit, active and healthy 70 year old. I have a vegetarian diet, don’t smoke and only drink wine occasionally. I began suffering from breathlessness when running in March 2022 and saw my GP in October 2022. Following a thorough investigation, which included an exercise ECG and calcium

Aortic Valve Replacement Monitoring
I had a surgical aortic valve replacement (tissue valve) in June and I have been lucky enough to have an uneventful recovery. I opted for private surgery because long waits and lack of communication from the NHS was causing me such stress and anxiety and recently retired I had savings I could use.
