I am a 60 year old female I have been type 2 diabetic for 12 years was diet controlled until 3 years ago was put on Sitagliptin and later dapagliflozin was added but this was stopped due to side effects In April this year I was diagnosed with Coronary artery disease I have had all the usual tests CT angiogram, Chest x-ray, 7 day ECG not had echo yet and going in for invasive angiogram next week

I only went for my routine diabetes check and this heart stuff happened I had been getting short of breath and having a bit of chest discomfort but I thought it was just I was out of condition and a bit of old age creeping in

I have to admit it is a bit scary 😨

One of the Heart Stars, MichaelJH , is a lifong diabetic who needed a quadruple bypass a few years ago. This will flag up to him but it may be a day or so before he replies as he is back in hospital today with a gruesome foot infection.
