Premature ventricle contractions
For about two weeks my kardia ecg is showing PVC's most of the time, I don't know how reliable these gadgets are but tried to make appointment with GP, as they have taken ecgs before but receptionist said I should go to A&E but I feel fine and feel that would be a waste of A&E time. Anybody else have

Good news on a Friday
So after having my long awaited ( much needed) CPET appointment cancelled with just two days notice I’ve had an appointment and it’s been rebooked for June 2nd, so just two weeks from today , I wasn’t expecting to hear so soon . Very relieved to have it booked not too far from now , thus afternoon

effects of ECT
I had a series of
ECT
treatment in. 2008. It was traumatic for my partner and parents but it did work alongside the psychotherapy & development of habits such as meditation. Our local health service no longer offers
ECT
at all, Probably a cost saving.

New GCA diagnosis
Hi spent the best part of this week in and out of the hospital. Diagnosed with PMR in March. Responded well to 15mg of Prednisolone. Started the taper of 1mg per month and was feeling fine. Then 2 weeks ago developed a pain in my jaw and side of left side of my face and tenderness around my temples.

Chest Tightness
Hello. I have been here before because I was worried about a tightness sensation I was getting in my chest. I have since been to A&E to get checked, had all the tests (blood tests, ECG, x-ray), and everything was fine. Straight after the tests I was taken to a specialist part of the hospital as a follow-up

Gosh that was quick Ablation tomorrow
Hey Everyone,So only just had my pre-op like a few days ago & just got the call Ablation is tomorrow due to a cancellation! Guess I'll be getting the answers by about ECG sooner rather than later. I'm now really nervous 😬 but glad I'll have less time to freak out 😂 As a side note last night was terrible

Prozac and chest pains
I've taken literally everything else, hospitalization,
ECT
, TMS and ketamine. It's my last hope. I need it to work. I've been very suicidal and bad Anxiety. Can anyone help please, I'm desperate for help. I started it today and my chest is killing me, I want to cut it out with a kitchen knife.

Confused. Any advice appreciated!
Having been diagnosed only 12 days ago I found myself back in A & E in the early hours of this morning! I reckon this attack started about half an hour before I woke as I'm sure I sort of new I had it. Woke up at 4 am to full blown AF. Tried breathing exercises, reading, walking around but by 6am realised

Hi. I had a mild heart attack in October 2021, one stent fitted. Follow up echocardiogram ecg in April 2022, all good, told no further appointments unless there's any problems. I am currently on Candesartan, Bisoprolol, Omeprazole, Aspirin and Rosuvastatin. No one has reviewed this since October 2022

Update #6 Clear Decks
Hi all 👋 Continuing on from my previous post here - https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149372691/update-5-back-to-front I am officially bareback… 😬 but don’t worry, it’s not for long. Phase 1 of the plan now begins! It’s taken me about 5/6 weeks, but I have weaned down slowly from 2.5 grains

ECG help
Hi all, First time posting in this forum I have posted in the main BHF a few times. I'm currently waiting for an AF Ablation and recently had my preoperative assessment for it. The nurse kindly gave me a copy of my ECG and naturally I took to googling to try understand it ofcourse getting nowhere 😂

ECG Help please
Hi All, Posted previously about waiting for an ablation. Had my pre assessment for it and was kindly given a copy of my ECG done during it. If course now I'm sat googling to try understand it but not getting anywhere 🤣 Was hoping someone could help me understand it a bit please. Hope it's ok to post

diagnosed with atrial fibrillation recently.
hi. I’m a 61 year old female. I have had palpations for about the last 18 months. Only lasting a few hours to start with but from october 2022 they’ve been lasting longer and more frequent. I have a history of pulmonary embolisms that have occurred after surgery and after long haul flight. Finally

Clinical Physiologist
Please can any of you explain to me what exactly is a Clinical Physiologist ? I usually see my cardiologist once a year, along with a routine echocardiogram and ecg. This year, I saw my GP because I have been getting a lot of palpitations which Kardia diagnose as PVCs and SVEs ) He said he would contact

Inferior Infart
I had an ECG yesterday. I had only a glimpse of the chart and on it was 'Inferior Infart'. Does anyone know what this means? Thanks, Paul.

Celiac disease and haematology
My daughter has taken over my care with the doctor. He wants me to eat gluten after being off it since 2013 and have a celiac test. He has been onto haematology about my red blood cells. The normal range should be 100 and mine was a 110. They were not worried but he thinks it because I am not eating.

I need to lose 14 lbs.
I had 8 treatments of
ECT
in 1976 when my son was 5 years old. Although I remained on antidepressants for a further 3-4 years I was well and worked as a midwife for over 20 years. My husband died in 1996 aged 56 and I was 53. I have 6 grandchildren whom I adore.
