ECG help

Hi all,

First time posting in this forum I have posted in the main BHF a few times.

I'm currently waiting for an AF Ablation and recently had my preoperative assessment for it. The nurse kindly gave me a copy of my ECG and naturally I took to googling to try understand it ofcourse getting nowhere πŸ˜‚

I was wondering if anyone can help me understand it a bit, just main points.

Just for background I already have a dual chamber pacemaker implanted due to severe sinus bradycardia. However the paroxysmal AF has not got any better with medication hence the ablation being done shortly. Symptoms have worsened and about a month ago I started getting leg swelling which I belive has become more all over body swelling. GP added a diuretic for that pending investigations by cardiologist. There has been mention of Heart Failure both by GP & the Cardiac nurse I saw at pre op. Will cross that bridge after the ablation.

Hoping ablation happens soon 🀞

I had shortness of breath so i went to the local hospital 4 days after and had heart failure or so they say..

I hope your recovery is swifter than mine..

Yes I suspected the same as been getting swelling & shortness of breath but they seem to have ruled that out.

Yeah they pump a lot of fluid during an ablation which can do it also it pushes your troponin up but my BNP markers were at about 1900 odd which was not good..
