Thyroid function test
I am due to go into the RVI Newcastle for more tests on 15 December including an
echocardiogram
. I feel quite sure though that the levothyroxine just doesn't agree with me and my symptoms would be so much better if I was on NDT.

Bone Marrow Exam
Hope the following might help anyone faced with a Bone Marrow Exam for the first time. Just had my first one recently as part of the baseline tests for the CLL10 "FLAIR" trial, I've signed up to. Like some of you I've heard descriptions in the past of Bone Marrow Biopsies BMB that were difficult experiences

Recent ecg results - would appreciate your feedback.
His last letter 03.10.14 said :- the
echocardiogram
shows mildly reduced left ventricular systolic function. The scan was difficult to read due to frequent couplets, triplets and bigemini occurring during the scan. Right Ventrical is normal in size with a normal right ventrical function.

Afraid to workout... Anyone else?
I'm seeing a cardiologist -
echocardiogram
normal -blood work normal no signs of anything bad with my heart. -waiting on ultrasound results Waiting on holter monitor results. But doing simple chores get my heart racing and I can't help but imagen how it would be to actually workout.

Long time no see - I've developed a paramedic addiction
I've been poked, prodded, x-rayed (twice) and I am still waiting for an
echocardiogram
:( But I was given the go ahead to keep running - provided I felt ok. Well I haven't, it's hurt to beath, I've had asthma like attacks and well I've just been poorly. But today was the day.

Other Heart Problems or Anxiety?
He did an
echocardiogram
of my heart & did not discuss this "thump" feeling with me. It would come and go randomly. He put me on a medication for the first time in my life called atenolol. Its supposed to treat chest pain/anxiety in the heart.

Healthy Heart to Heart...
So - time for Aussie to 'fess up... I've been having a battery of cardiac tests done lately off the back of a recent health assessment and some "irregularities" in my ECG under exercise. All a bit of a worry but due to family history all worth checking out... After resting ECG, exercise ECG, echo cardiogram

Reflux or angina
My doctors are trying to work out if I have a problem with my heart because of pain in chest and once it spread from my elbows to my jaw, but only once. I took a few anti acids which made me dizzy so I didn't take them long enough to rule out reflux but can you have reflux when you have PA? I know we're

Introducing T3
As I also have a mild aortic heart murmur, I am having an
echocardiogram
to check that my aortic valve has no sign of calcification. I am also to go gluten free due to digestive issues, I'm on 20mg of Omeprazole daily. Questions: 1. Has anyone else got experience of taking Calcitriol?

What's been going on?
It seems a long time since I posted anything much about myself on here! I've been doing lots of reading but just the occasional comment. I thought an update would be in order. Some of you know my history, but others don't. To summarise, after years of Levo-only treatment after a TT for uncontrollable

Breathing issues likely bronchial spasms due to scaring from teenage asthma or I technically still have asthma but because breathlessness is on exertion (can barely walk across the room) and breathing hurts I do need to get my gp to refer me for an
echocardiogram
to check my heart so mostly likely nothing

Contradictory ? Lung Function Results.
The halter monitor showed 2,000 extra beats in 24 hours but these were not "sinister" the
echocardiogram
treadmill effort was rather lame and embrassing but showed no structural heart damage so the cardio said he thought the problem was the lungs and sent me off for a complex lung function test.

All tests and still no better
I went into hospital for a planned admission where I had a
echocardiogram
, a treadmill test, and a 5 day monitor. I also had a full abdominal ultrasound a short synacthen test (measures cortisol response ) and urine collection. Everything came back normal.
