I'm 34, never smoked, drink very little, eat relatively healthy (cholesterol was 3.6 day before my stent) and exercise quite a lot (3 times a week minimum) Last year I started

“Fitness for Surgery” OR Pre-Op
Typically, an angiogram in valid for 12 months, an
echocardiogram
for six months, etc. I will not quote a long list as the lifetime of a test may vary between NHS Trusts, and the tests done will vary with your condition.

Hello - I was diagnosed with AF last July - shortly afterwards I had an
Echocardiogram
and was told no further action was necessary other than to continue with the medications provided- which I have done but I am so worried - my heart rate runs between 45 - 60 but mostly at the lower end .

Total Coronary Occlusion
In that time they put me on lots of different drugs, did an
Echocardiogram
which was clear, tested me for every travellers disease/illness you can think of and finally did an Angiogram. The Angiogram showed a Total Coronary Occlusion of the right coronary artery.

Pericarditis
A&e had said i was suffering anxiety as all tests came back negative until my gp arranged an
echocardiogram
. I have been told I have pericarditis and also fluid present. I’ve been prescribed colchicine which don’t seem to be helping symptoms.

Afib no cure?
Hi I have just been for a check up to see my EP and get results of echo cardiogram and 24 hour heart monitor as well as discuss my worry about the failed cryoablation last year which resulted in a blue light ambulance to St Thomas hospital after a pseudo aneurysm. The attacks I get now are not as severe

Left Bundle Branch Block
Due to my age, and no known family history, I was referred to cardiology at my nearest hospital where I had further tests - a 48hr heart monitor, and
Echocardiogram
and a further ECG.

Heart issues - Pacemaker ? endocarditis
A recent Trans Oesophageal
Echocardiogram
revealed a mass or vegetation on one of my pacemaker leads. My blood cultures were negative. The cardiologist and I agreed that my condition is "complex" .

When to go to A&E and when to sit it out.
I was diagnosed with AF last July - I take a Beta Blocker a Blood thinner and a BP medication. I am constantly aware of my heart as I have Tinnitus which means I can hear it pulsing away day and night. Since my diagnosis I havnt seen a consultant - I had an echo cardiogram done and was told no further

Pleural Effusion
Awaiting blood cultures and
echocardiogram
result. X-ray showed fluid, they have drained 700 ml from the space between my lungs and chest wall. It certainly has eased the pain and starting to feel a bit better. Has anyone experienced this post op? Would be interested to know. Take care all Lisa

Worsening Leaky Heart Valves.
When I had my last
echocardiogram
done last year, it showed I’ve got a very slight leaky aortic valve, and mild leaky pulmonary valve and a mild leaky triscipid valve. I see my cardiologist on the 20th Feb.

Lightheadedness, heart palpitations and brain fog.
I have an
echocardiogram
scheduled next week. My family doesnt have a history of heart issues and I haven’t had issues in the past. I’ve seen a chiropractor twice since the year started as well to help deal with the neck pain. Any ideas on what the symptoms may be?

My first broken heart 💔
And an
echocardiogram
that showed fluid around my right ventricle. Now to wear this to see exactly what is going on , the technician who fitted it saw an abnormality in my heart rhythm straight away! I’m waiting to see Dr John Pauling who is a systemic sclerosis specialist based in Bath!

Worsening Breathing Difficulties
I was discharged and my GP has now referred me back to Cardiology for
Echocardiogram
and 24 Hour Holter. I'm still really worried, as these symptoms feel very much pulmonary related and I feel something has been missed/not diagnosed.
